One player I just want to see improve is Shumpert.

No Delly, hurt Mo, young Felder, we need Shump to turn in his best year possible and be that 6th man off the bench.

When shit hits the fan for Felder and it will, you could see Shump/McRae, RJ/Dunleavy, Frye/Birdman.

I can agree with that but honestly I'd be bummed if the next season wasn't the best we've seen from both Kyrie and Kevin in a Cavs uniform. Everyone else could pretty much maintain what they did last season (along with a couple reasonable regressions), but those two need to continue getting better in their starring roles.

I want 3 goddamn All-Stars next year. We're overdue clearly. KLove should've gotten the nod last season.

But yes, Shump being more effective on both ends of the floor will be a major key to repeating.

I can agree with that but honestly I'd be bummed if the next season wasn't the best we've seen from both Kyrie and Kevin in a Cavs uniform. I'm not sure it's realistic to expect Kyrie to be any better than we saw him in last year's Finals. Sure, he could extend that kind of performance into the regular season, but it hardly matters -- all that matters is how good he is when it counts. In fact, I wouldn't want him to burn himself out seeking regular season honors.

But there's no question that unless we make a major move we need to see upside from the guys already on the roster. The guys I see who could significantly improve their play next year are KLove, Shumpert, McRae, Dunleavy (it will make a big difference if he is still the injured guy we saw last year on the Bulls or if he can come back to pre-injury form), and TT (on offense only). That's about it really. Maybe Mo could not have a knee injury (unlikely)? Or maybe Frye on defense but I think he's too old to be anything but what he is there.

Lebron can improve his jump shot in the regular season but he had it going in the Finals, so again, not sure it's realistic to see anything better than his all-time great performance in last year's finals.

I'd be better with "chill mode" if it were more similar to the Spurs style of getting guys rest with days off and reduced minutes/expanded bench. Always loved how Popovich would get his bench in-season tests on pressure situations.

The problem with this is the Spurs aren't overly reliant on one individual player like we are with LeBron.
