I say he was a bit nervous in the beginning. He needs to learn how to finish more (I think as the refs get to know him, he will get some calls)...

He did a great job pushing the ball tonight.

I would give him an overall B+ for his 1st career start.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

*1st career start at PG

Good effort, should continue him there...

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

MUCH improved tempo. We basically stopped taking shots with barely time on the clock because the offense started so much quicker

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

I thought he did a great job. He is very good at recognizing a shot thats good to take and doesnt force anything. He is very quick, can get in the paint and is making an effort to keep people involved.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

It should be interesting to see what teams do when Lebron gets back, the oppositions PG can't consistently double team with Daniel out there or he's going to hit the shot. Hopefully Snow takes this well and he and Wesley help Gibson with the transition.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

I was impressed with him overall. He deffinetly brought a presense on the court and helped to run the fast paced offense. Great win!

I was particularily impressed with Pavlovic

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

Point guard that can shoot.

Hes not going to give the defensive flexibility that we get with Snow, but thats the only downside I'm seeing so far. The boys decided to actually run an offense today so things looked a lot better offensively. That was not just Daniel Gibson, they must have had some sort of brain washing at practice or something. If they run that offense effectively, basically, people not holding the ball for more than 5 seconds and having players constantly moving WITH Lebron, then this team will be looking pretty good.

I like the fact that we were using the entire rotation today, and everyone made the most of their minutes. Even David Wesley has been showing some good stuff. The guys can play their 34 year old hearts out for the 15 minutes they get in the game, so its a good thing. Hell we had Z going up-tempo and we were relying on huge minutes from Sasha.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

Gibson ? Solid... Just wish I could see him handle the ball a little more, and penetrate into the paint for his own offense.. Overall, pretty good...He certainly didn't hurt the team in any way...

Sasha was the story.. He did everything tonight this team needs, and Hughes can't provide..

A. Attack the basket and draw contact..

B. Attack the basket and finish..

C. Spread the floor, and hit open jumpers..

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

In terms of fitting with Lebron and Z, one could make a case that Sasha and Gibson skills complement those two better then any of our perimeter players

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

I didn't catch much of this one but Sasha was on fire when I saw him...throwing down hard stroking the long ball played good solid defense..

His floor game looked better..didn't see bad fouls or many turnovers of what I did see...

Who needs Bron? Boobie and Sasha are the anchors...deal LeBran or whatever his name is..

A white guy can finish better than a black guy, that shows how bad Larry is.

Sasha is a better player than Larry, no question about it.

Exactly.

Its all about getting the right fits with this team. Pavlovic should be getting solid regular minutes, and Gibson should soon be entrenched as our starting PG. Wesley, Snow and Damon to me are best suited as spot players for certain situations. Damon will likely see the bigger minutes due to his perimeter threat. However all three should see reduced minutes to allow Pavlovic minutes. In a perfect world we sit LeBron 10 mpg, and Hughes around 15mpg. Sasha should see pretty much all those minutes.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

Best line up right now is Gibson, Sasha, Lebron Gooden and Z. They compliment each other and will be hard to defend, especially with more time playing together. Hughs should come off the bench.

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

Probably so. I wonder how Hughes would respond to being benched?

Re: Your Daniel Gibson assement

Good job for the first start of his career.

He got a bit of a schooling at Baron Davis U but it didn't hurt anything. He pushed the tempo, never held on to the ball, and made his shots. He showed solid composure which hopefully will serve him well as we face stronger opponents.

Hopefully his game expands as he gets comfortable.
