Hmm... well most have already been touched on, so I'll just categorize a few. Also, many are from the latter part of the decade, as being a Cleveland fan in the early 2000's pretty much sucked. So, here are some of my memories from the 2000's in terms of sports.
Absolute Worst Memory
2/8/00 - Derrick Thomas dies.

Not sure if many of you know it, but I'm actually a Chiefs fan (long story). I was eleven years old when he died and I still remember crying when I heard the news. Absolute beast who ruled the field and was the heart of the Chiefs. Died far too early.
On the other hand, attending the HOF ceremony in Canton this summer was one of my favorite memories.
Best In Person Memory
Either game 2 of the 2007 ALDS versus the Yankees (the "bug game") or game 4 of the 2007 ECF vs. the Pistons (the precursor to LeBron's historical game 5 in Detroit). Both were very memorable and the most exciting sports events I've ever attended.
Other Bests
One of the best behind-the-scenes moments that not only made me feel better about the Cavaliers moving forward, but made me realize why I love Tim Duncan as well.

- 2008 Beijing Olympics, USA bball. Our boys went and won it all and it felt so good, I was watching them get the Gold and hearing our anthem and was almost tearing up. I had to stay up til 5am or wake up at 7am to watch most those games, just slept on the couch in front of the tv.
Definitely one of my favorite memories this decade. I still remember the night of the final game vs. Spain. I went out that night and came back and grabbed a 12 pack to have a few beers to keep me awake while I watched the game (I believe it started at 4 or 5 am). My roommates thought I was crazy but that was a great game.

Next to the 9-11 baseball games (also a good memory), this is the most patriotic I've felt about my country through sports. After getting kicked in the teeth in 2004, the team really felt a true duty to make it happen in 2008. All of the behind the scenes stuff leading up to it were great (road to redemption).
Anyway, there are many others, most of which already listed. But there are some particular flashbulb memories from the 2000's.
