Other than LeBron in Game 5 against Detroit, I would have to say the Indians beating the Yankees 22-0 in NY in 2004. I was driving home from work beating the shit out of my steering wheel listening to Hamilton go crazy. I had to stop at a random bar and watch the end of it.

OMIGOSH HOW COULD I FORGOT.

When the indians came back to beat Seattle after being down 12-3 in the 7th or w\e.

Losing to Boston in the ALCS was unbearable. You couldn't talk to me for about two months after that. I pretty much agree with Chardon's list. The Indians missing the playoffs in 2000 sucked, as did blowing a 2-1 lead vs Seattle in '01. Why pitch Colon on short rest??? So stupid.

I'm a big golf fan, so the 2008 US Open (Tiger vs Rocco) was pretty special to watch. Probably the best golf moment of the decade.

Being a student at OSU during the two NC losses (3 if you count basketball) sucked.

We're so freaking overdue.....

1. Cavs beating Detroit
2. The New Cardiac Kids (2002 Browns season)
3. The Cavs last season until the Orlando series
4. Being a part of two division championship teams in football during high school
5. I actually can't think of five great moments

- Lakers Blazers 2000 WCF game 7 comeback and Kobe alley-oop to Shaq
- 2000 title
- 2001 running through everyone to win the title
- Lakers Kings 2002 WCF game 4 Robert Horry (my fave shot of all time)
- 2002 title
- Lakers Blazers last game of the 2004 season, Lakers must win to get ahead of Sacto in the standing. Kobe Bryant pivots and pivots and makes an incredible 3 with "Kobe-Stopper" Ruben Patterson standing on him to force OT... then in double OT drains a 3 after getting the ball with 1sec left to win the game by 1. One of my fave games ever and fave Kobe moments.
- Fisher .4, just unbelievable.
- Kobe 81... I couldn't even watch live cuz we didn't have FSN at home :( but I got home and saw ESPNEWS and couldn't believe it. Watched the game online later. It was all anyone talked about forever.
- Getting Pau Gasol. My friend called me and told me we got Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown. I told him to shut the fuck up. I was at the dorms, opened up my laptop and confirmed it, went crazy. Got in the elevator to go down to eat at the commons, told everyone in the elevator and everyone at the dining commons the news... most people just looked at me weird.
- 2008 Beijing Olympics, USA bball. Our boys went and won it all and it felt so good, I was watching them get the Gold and hearing our anthem and was almost tearing up. I had to stay up til 5am or wake up at 7am to watch most those games, just slept on the couch in front of the tv.
- 2009 title, was unbelievable.

I think those are the main ones. Don't really care for other sports.

Ricky Davis attempt at a triple-double
OSU upset Miami (FL) in the 2002 NCAA Championship Game
Drafting of Lebron
ECF vs. Detroit (2007)
The Shot vs. Orlando, even though we still lost it sent chills through my body watching that go in.

Hmm... well most have already been touched on, so I'll just categorize a few. Also, many are from the latter part of the decade, as being a Cleveland fan in the early 2000's pretty much sucked. So, here are some of my memories from the 2000's in terms of sports.

Absolute Worst Memory

2/8/00 - Derrick Thomas dies.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BffXHd9wZyg&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BffXHd9wZyg&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Not sure if many of you know it, but I'm actually a Chiefs fan (long story). I was eleven years old when he died and I still remember crying when I heard the news. Absolute beast who ruled the field and was the heart of the Chiefs. Died far too early.

On the other hand, attending the HOF ceremony in Canton this summer was one of my favorite memories.

Best In Person Memory

Either game 2 of the 2007 ALDS versus the Yankees (the "bug game") or game 4 of the 2007 ECF vs. the Pistons (the precursor to LeBron's historical game 5 in Detroit). Both were very memorable and the most exciting sports events I've ever attended.

Other Bests

One of the best behind-the-scenes moments that not only made me feel better about the Cavaliers moving forward, but made me realize why I love Tim Duncan as well.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IGY6UamVRSU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IGY6UamVRSU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Definitely one of my favorite memories this decade. I still remember the night of the final game vs. Spain. I went out that night and came back and grabbed a 12 pack to have a few beers to keep me awake while I watched the game (I believe it started at 4 or 5 am). My roommates thought I was crazy but that was a great game.

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RKJsBadPSKc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RKJsBadPSKc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

Next to the 9-11 baseball games (also a good memory), this is the most patriotic I've felt about my country through sports. After getting kicked in the teeth in 2004, the team really felt a true duty to make it happen in 2008. All of the behind the scenes stuff leading up to it were great (road to redemption).

Anyway, there are many others, most of which already listed. But there are some particular flashbulb memories from the 2000's.

That night i was in Vilnius and my God, what a madness it was in the streets. Fireworks, naked chicks running and screaming all around the main square of capital city, loud music in every corner. Me and my friend were walking all around and there was a party in one of the hotels. We came in and joined the party. We had no idea who the hell are those people, but we had great great time, lots of free drinks and food and lots of hot chicks.

2500 Lithuanians gathered in Chigaco United Center Arena, because that day in both teams played lithuanians. Songaila with Bulls and Jasikevicius with Pacers.

Linas Kleiza scores career high 41 points for Denver Nuggets against Jazz

Kleiza can't pass, his defence is poor, but he is a deadly points making machine

Lithuanian National Basketball Team win against France in 2007 European basketball championship

Before the match journalist asked Tony Parker about S. Jasikevicius. T. Parker said some shit about him. That day Lithuanains humiliated Tony Parker and his team. At some point of the game it was absolutely ridiculous, it looked like lithuanians are playing against high school team. At the end of this video you can see as Jasikevicius passed Tony Parker who is on the ground and didn't even look at him.

1. Lakers three peat.
2. USA world cup run that ended by shitty refs in the 2002 world cup.
3. Laker title last year.
4. USC dominance for a few years in college football.
5. Lakers winning the title in 2010.:pray:

When Kenny came back in 2007. I almost had tears in my eyes when he tipped his cap to the crowd his first at bat.

Then obviously the homerun he hit against Dice-K in the ALCS. Hamilton's call of that homer is chilling.

I took my friends, mostly from Chicago, from college to a Tribe game in 2007 and they were amazed by people chanting Kenny's name and how it shook the stadium. He then walked in a run to tie the game after the tribe was trailing big time.

1. Kobe to Shaquille versus Portland. Ran outside in my drawls after that lob.

2. Horry for the win versus the Kings

3. USC's beat down of Oklahoma to claim a mythical national title

4. Lakers winning it last year. Just a great run after that C's beat down.

5. Even though I'm a SC fan, I was in awe of Vince Young's perfromance in the Championship game. Even though I had to call off work for two days because I was that sick, you couldn't help but give the man his props. Great performance. 200 on the ground and 250+ in the air. if you had told me, that Leinart would pass for 360+, LenDale While rushed for 121, Reggie Bush had 175+ total yard and Jarrett had a big game, USC by 30. Damn @ VY.

* Also when Suge Knight got laid out ..........

All of last year's regular season for the Cavs was a dream come true for me.

Shame it didn't end better.
