Z and Shaq on the floor together AGAIN??? God no...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thought this would be a Happy Christmas.......Guess not.

Am I the only one who doesn't have a huge problem with this?

If we execute offensively with those two in the game, and don't give them fast break opportunities, we should be decent enough defensively and it might not be a bad idea for 5-10 minutes.

My concern is executing offensively with them simply because they don't have much floor time together to practice that execution.

hmm it worked against orlando when they played howard and gortat on the floor together....LA is one of the few teams where i could see that lineup working.....better than varejao getting eaten alive by gasol/bynum like last time...

Jeez people don't jump the gun yet. Dang, lets at least see how it works first. I realized it didn't work before but the Lakers are maybe the one team I really wanted to see this against and it could possibly work because Shaq will man handle Bynum and Pau is a pussy inside so the 7'3 and 7'1 wall inside against this team could actually work. Yes Pau is quick but he has always struggled against taller players. Lets just settle down and see how this works. Im optimistic at least. ITS CHRISTMAS PEOPLE!

....speech over.

Even if we limit their fast break opportunities, we will be killed with the Pick and Roll all night long. Your not dumb MB, I have faith in you.

LA is not a real big pick and roll team.

If anything we should KILL Fisher & Co. on our pick and rolls. LA is horrible at defending it.

The Pick and Roll isn't a concern. The entire reason that the Cavs will have the towers in there would be to clog the lane. Who cares if Bynum and Gasol roll to the basket? It'll be the effect as them posting them up and running a triangle set.

The problems that good pick and roll teams present for the Cavs with the slow guys in are mainly because of their bigs. Bynum and Gasol are both very skilled big-men, but they're not dominant pick and roll forces like Amare or Howard. They're skilled post players.

This was posted elsewhere already, but I think if you play the twin towers, its against this team. This is a regular season game. Yes, its important to win, but its more important to experiment to see what works against the Lakers if we get to the Finals.

Also, when this was tried earlier this year, Z was not shooting well, which he seems to be now. We may see a different result with it this time around.

After the lat game, I hope Z camps out in the corner. If he knocks a couple of 3's down, Gasol will be pulled out and Lebron goes right to the basket. Shaq will school Bynum in the meantime. Last time they let Z shoot as much as he wanted of course. Jackson said they would live with Z hitting shots in the 1st half because he wouldn't in the 2nd. Z shouldn't be as tired this time though, and they won't live with him hitting 3's.

Frankly if Z is hitting his jumper, part of me would rather go with Z/AV then anything involving Shaq. Z can matchup with Bynum ok and AV has done well on Pau. The offense just works so much better with Z in there keeping the lanes open for Lebron and Mo.

Last year in LA, Z was hurt and AV couldn't cover Bynum but when Brown switched him to Gasol we made a nice run. The problem in the Cleveland game was Hickson getting torched on the glass. *suddenly fills with regret that we faced the one team last year we didn't matchup well at all in Orlando*

Big Z was the stretch four we needed all along.

if Z is hot he is a perfect stretch 4. It's if he's not that's the problem.

yeah danny ferry only got shaq so the cavs could match up to the size the lakers have by putting out shaq and Z, but lets ignore that...

BOOO THE MOOOO
