Z has taken a bunch of crap over the first couple of weeks of the season and probably deserves it, but today he played pretty well and I just wanted to give him his props. While the cavs would probably win without him today he was still a major factor in their win. Hopefully he keeps this up, becuase the cavs need him to go all the way.

Maybe, but he did have an average game by normal standards..But I guess we can pat him on the back for that..Baby steps at this point, I guess.... Furthermore, it's how he responds tomorrow more so.. After all, my fellow Cavs fans love to sell me on the fact that the Wizards are a bad matchup for Z... (Thank goodness it's just the Wiz) BTW, one of the worst built in excuses going into a game I have seen..

Regardless, lets see if he steps his game up when we need him the most.. I hope he does... I like watching my team win...

YAY Z DIDNT SUCK TONIGHT!!!!

who hoo

i hope he keeps it up....we need it especially with Larry out

I still think that the offense looked slow at times when we were trying to force it down into Z.....we usually come to a screeching halt when we do that and even though he came up with a couple baskets he kinda disapeared in the 2nd half and when we forced it to him we didnt get anything but missed shots and turn overs......Z played his best in the 1st half of whihc if you remember we went into the locker room LOSING......

we won the game late in the 3rd and the 4th with a lineup of Damon Sasha LeBron AV and Marshall.......sorry but I still think that he is a bad fit for our team and what we are trying to do

Z was sitting in his normal spot on the bench when we actually took control of the game.....

did he do better? yes he did.....but lets not give him too much credit for the win

Hopefully Sasha picks it up tomorrow and Wesley finds his shot, as I don't have high hopes for Z on a back to back ...

Z didnt disappear in the 2nd half. He only played 6 minutes in the 2nd half and went 2-4 from the field. He also had just one turnover in the 3rd.

Z working in the post doesnt slow down the offense anymore than James holding the ball 10-15 seconds on a wing iso just to shoot a step back 22 footer.

Isn't funny in a thread where someone gave him props for a good game, people still come down on him. Nobody was gushing over him, nothing overboard at all. The Republican Army just want to keep tearing down any positives.

Anywho, whats new?

Let's see if he Z can stop Tan "The Bomb" Thomas this time.

We talk about Z scoring 14 points, but somebody inside was doing a number on Garnett defensively (he had a terrible night) and somebody other than hughes took Ricky D and Mike James out of the game as well.

The T-wolves are a mess, and could probably use a real coach. It is probable their offensive probelms stem in part from a bad offensive scheme. But holding any NBA team under 80 is a defensive win, and this is our first this year. We are also the only team so far to have held Minnesota under 80, and I believe the only team to hold Garnett, James and Davis combined under 30 points (they avg a combined 50)

On another note, anyone see any similarties between Craig Smith and Carlos Boozer, a double double second round rookie with a short big body?

Saw some good flashes offensively from the big fella last night... that's good news. You know his offensive game will return sooner than later, and when it does this Cavs squad is gonna rule.

Z is easily one of the best centers in the league.... period.

only guy his size who dives on the ground. shaq dont, yao dont, he is the only one. nice game Z.

Z still sucked, got the ball striped by a little guy, rejected by a little guy, and got TEEEEEEEEEED UP for a wimpy hand at the ref!!!!!!!!wut a woman!!!!!

Big guy get stripped by a little guy???? wow only player to ever have that happen.

I have no clue why he got TED, did not even say anything and walked away. refs need to stop being little whores!!!!!!!

The only problem I've had with Z this season is his offensive production is down and his shots aren't falling consistently. The rest of his game has been fine. He's defending well and rebounding well.

It appears Z's numbers will be down because of the new offensive system and because his minutes will be lower. With fewer quality C's in the NBA many opponents are using smaller quicker players as their C, especially opponents backup C's. There will still be many times that a true C with good size is going to be needed.

I do expect as the season continues that Z's scoring and FG % will rise due to adjustments being made in the offense. We're already seeing that somewhat with the Cavs looking to Z more than earlier and giving it to him in positions where he's more effective. Everything is still a work in progress though.

The Cavs have a good 4 man rotation up front at C and PF. As long as they're getting consistent total production from those 4 and the interior defense remains solid than I have no complaints. This shouldn't be an area of concern for fans.

Z has played well defensivly

hopefully he turns last night into a streak of good games cause we need the big fella to play well....I am still hoping he gets it all turned around

Hey! One 14 point game out of 9 games. Give the lumbering giant a BIG pat on the back. That's REAL value for a 60 million contract!
