13 boards and he stymied Haywood, who did not push him around. He seemed to be jumping better tonight.

My question....

Is his heel a sometimes better/sometimes worse condition? Why did he appear more spry tonight?

His effort and Ben and Andy led a revived rebounding attack, which helped us win tonight.

I think it has more to do with the fact he had like 2 days of rest.

Hopefully the Lakers slip up once more, and we win our next 3 games, then we would clinch HCA throughout and we could rest Z for the last game of the season. That combined break between playoffs and reg season would be a good 5-6 day break I think.

The 2-3 days of rest probably helped, also our perimeter defense was much better...he wasn't need to stop penetration as much as he has been in the past. That coupled with more bigs(Ben) to let him play less minutes.

Z is over 30 and has had multiple foot surgeries. You can't really expect him to bang down low night in and night out.

I like that he only had to play 20 minutes. I look to see that more in these last games, especially as we want to work Ben back into the lineup. Preserving Z for the end of the season/ early postseason could be key later in the playoffs.

He appeared more spry because Haywood is another slow big man. If he was playing agaisnt a quicker big man it wouldn't have appeared that way.

Are you going to delete this thread when the replies get too racy like the last one?

Or go into another "Z belongs in a glue factory" thread if he slips up again. Side note: I would think the glue factory would be a horrifying fear to barnyard animals, cows included. :detective

It's his ankle....and the answer to your questions is YES. Two days off and not participating in contact practices.

Yeah he played alright. Nothing special.

13 rebounds is special. Stopping Haywood is special.

Whatever it takes, MB needs to keep Z's minutes down and his rest maximized.

The glue factory is a terrible image to any livestock. Cows never use the word "slaughterhouse", for example. We use "glue factory". Horses just the opposite.

We also don't use the word "butcher". Not cool for Cows.

Cows do not read Kurt Vonnegut (obscure literary reference)

Is that a Slaughterhouse Five reference? Can we pluck a 28 year old Z out of the timeline of his life?
