I know I know, but this is the same situation as when we discussed centers and their mobility I believe it was, some months back.
That's not a trend, it's an anecdote. D-Leaguers almost always never work out, at all. To say the Cavs lack of contributors from the dleague is an outlier isn't an accurate assessment. It's the norm.

no scouting department for the Cavs, they are just recycling old players. They have zero belief they have a chance of finding a contributor to a "contender" through summer league it seems. They keep fielding terrible SL teams and it seems like they don't really care.

We will likely have the guy you are named after on the roster, but he will always be all defense. We have done a poor job of getting young players in here and it's kind of sad since whenever we have LeBron, we seem to either have crappy coaches or bring in over the hill/sign guys to bad contracts.
You would expect a team with a very limited budget to be creative and actually focus on scouting and other stuff like that. We don't need to bring in more old guys, we need to workout a ton of young guys and have them compete to make the team.
Is there anywhere with an updated summer team roster yet?

Yep. You'll see us missing on Eric Moreland aswell. He played extremely well for Canton and now he is balling on the Pistons SL squad. I think they are going to sign as a 3rd string center.
We need an infuse of young, athletic players that are willing to work on defense and have a decent stroke. You CAN find them if you look well enough, especially on such a deep draft class, but we yet again invite the players that are never going to stick.

At least this year the roster isn't made up of Kay Felder and a bunch of D-leaguers. I'm not sure who anyone of these guys are but alot played overseas last year.

I assume he has to get a nba contract and buy out from his old team before he is allowed to play, which probably won't happen before summer league. Cavs want to keep their options open with moving him and how we use our mini MLE.
