2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
First overall this year is like having a pair of movie passes that expire next week and there are nothing but shitty movies in-theater right now.

We'll use it, it just might be on the 37th minion movie.
it is what you make it

I heard the exact same thing about having #2 in the Goff draft while needing a QB

Turns out the Wentz movie is a nice feature film itself

Getting the first pick in any draft class is the best pick. You get the entire field to pick from. You just have to pick right even if it's a "reach"

It would be so sad if we ended up taking the guy with huge maturity red flags who had next to no talent as an NFL QB in the first round and then turn around and pass on an actually NFL talented QB because he's outspoken and abrasive

Like if you're going to take outlandish characters, at least take the talented ones

Manziel was a bigger douchebag cunt-shake than Rosen by far and was maybe 1/10th as talented

God that was such a waste of a pick the second it was announced

The Rosen/Manziel comparison some continue to throw out is so lazy.

Manziel never respected the game, never really embraced his job, and set aside his career in the pursuit of pussy and feeding his addictions. On top of that he is an abusive asshole who has been flagged for hitting his girlfriend.

Rosen thinks Trump is an idiot. And he's cocky and he had a hut tub in his room. Maybe his teammates don't like him off the field. The same can be said with some of the players in their respective sports.

Yeah, the Browns have to do their due diligence to ensure his character issues aren't so bad as to compromise his game. However, unlike Manziel, Rosen seems to have the intelligence to understand that an NFL team will demand more maturity from him. Shit, Manziel should be a perfect example from which he can learn what not do.

Does anyone else see so much potential for Demetri (sp?) Flowers? Just seems like such a weapon.

Rosen sounds like an entitled asshole that turns people off. He also seems like he's the most polished QB in this class and he probably has the best chance to be a FQB out of everyone. He sounds like Jay Cutler coming out of Vanderbilt. I'd take that.

I don't think he sounds entitled. I also won't worry about his cockiness or if he does feel entitled. There are a lot players who were less privileged and less fortunate than him who were entitled. Ultimately it will come down to his leadership on the field and in the locker room. Don't need to list names but there have been plenty of QB's who were assholes, brats, etc, but they were leaders on the field and in the locker room.

Has anyone on here saying Rosen sounds entitled, sounds like an ass hole, etc watched some of his interviews?

He's been extremely respectful and humble towards media during practices and games all year and I struggle to find video of him sounding like this prick that everyone is describing.

I've read the interviews where he speaks his mind and uses profanity in doing so, but if he keeps it professional in the confines of football and continues to mature from a brash kid to a man I don't see an issue here.

I think he's going to interview very well. Comes off as a smart kid from everything I've seen.

It’s those honest interviews that make him sound prickish and just other stuff like that. They don’t bother me one, but he does have times where it feels like for an interview and other things his filter doesn’t work well. He wouldn’t survive with a Belicheck style since he seems to speak his mind too much. If that’s the only knock on the kid, but he’s got a good work ethic (will be easy to tell at the combine) then he should be the number one pick probably

Rosen is putting on a clinic against Cal. Dude has some really, truly great throws.

Rosen just took a vicious sack but he got up..... I know he probably doesnt want to play here and who wouldn't but a few more of those hits and locking up 30m guaranteed doesn't look that bad....
