Which is stupid if you consider our approach (or lack of it) during the RS. It would be a lot better if Derrick,Shump and Kay (developing big?) got some major minutes and we would just switch to the regulars in the last third of the season. Give them some systematic and continuous play. The only way you can really get something out of rough talent and some Spurs like miracles.
But we don't do that and that is why I don't think wasting any value Cedi has on Cavs roster is a good idea.

Its probably because Blatt got fired after going 30-11 and is also probably why Lue runs Lebron into the ground all RS.
Whats amazing about the Spurs is that they develop raw players and still win most RS games in the West.

I agree though. If this guy has value cash it in, we need to improve the roster this year, one way or another

I really hope we keep this kid. I mean, I'll understand if he's the last piece that gets us a high level player, but I hope we don't just chuck him in at the start of every conversation.

But if he's on the team I think he could be a great addition to the bench, especially as RJ declines. We need as many athletic wings as possible, and Osman looks like somebody that could give us defense, shooting, and off-ball movement/hustle that we lost when Delly moved on (all in a bigger frame than Delly too).

And don't forget we are not actually any good developing anyone. Which is stupid if you consider our approach (or lack of it) during the RS. I agree with this philosophically and it is ideal, but the problem was that we didn't play with leads to ALLOW the others to develop. The Spurs always play with leads and have for seemingly the past 20 years.

James played so much because if he didn't, we wouldn't have won 40 games. People may think that's hyperbole, but it's really not. We can go on a game by game basis, see the deficits we were playing with, and conclude that we probably lose a bunch of games without playing LeBron heavy minutes. When you're teetering on getting behind 10+ in many of these games if James sits, you cannot afford to develop anyone. LeBron's ON-OFF numbers (+17.1) were the highest since he came back meaning we relied on him as much or more than ever.

It is also why I think Griffin probably thought (speculation here) breaking up the big 3 would not be catastropic from an immediate basketball point of view if the object was to go all in and compete with the Warriors and worry about the future wasteland later. How good really is the rest of the core if it can't win without James? How good is it if it can't build nor maintain leads without him?

Terrible. One would think that KI and Love would be a great RS duo without Him. And that is why I do not care if everyone is traded (not named LeBron). He should be that something extra, but he is actually the base and the team and the motor and everyone else rides on him. He is the vehicle and the driver, but he should only be driving.

Does he remind anyone of a shorter Toni Kukoc?

He looks like The Waiter, but Kukoc was an exceptional passer. Cedi is still working on setting up teammates. Kukoc could defend multiple positions and had better athleticism than he got credit for, so in that respect I see similarities.

Yep, Kukoc was underrated.

Euro-Magic had an exceptional feel for the game. He had good vision, could make passes with both hands, was a good mover off the ball, could play in the post, ran the break well, drove the ball left really well, was a plus defender, and had a really high basketball IQ. He saved Jordan's ass in game 7 against Indiana in 1998 when Jordannand Pippen were bricking everything and this guy scored in the 4th.

Would people be happy with osman / green swap

I would be pissed if we gave up Cedi for Danny Green. Griff held that kid in high regards and never thought about moving him for a reason.
