Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What the fuck is wrong with most of you. All you have to do is look at the posts. Is it realmy that hard to find or do all of you just like to tally about bull shit that doesn't apply?

Here's the only two posts that matter for you lazy fucks.

Yeah, that locks it.

If @Mr. Orange is going to start a sentence with “Hell, you can have” cockily, the remaining clause must be taken as a stone-carved take.

Thus, I believe @natedagg is right on this one. One more win and it’s over.

Duke still up and down... Just 2 carries (negative yards) and no target... Do you still see him as a big part of the team next year? Knowing Dorsey is good in drafting rb and the way Chubb is playing, it might make sense to just trade him this offseason...

Why don't they use him as a receiver if he isn't going to get touches at RB?

How is it in a league with Chris McCaffrey that Duke continues to languish unused, unloved and unsermthing?

I’m also bewildered. You’d think with the slight dearth of talent at wideout we could at least see a few more two-back sets with him motioning to the slot or out wide.

I don’t know. The guy can do things with the ball and our effort to get it to him is so minimal. I’m not clamoring for 20 touches but it’s like he’s a practice squad player solely for depth purposes.

Yeah that Bengals TNF game was fun a few years back. But that Giants MNF game was top 2 for me since the return. Our season sucked but primetime and beat the defending champs. If we can do that next year with Baker, oh my lord

I was at that game about 3 rows back on the 15. I'll always remember the Eric Wright pick 6 that happened right in front of us to put the game away. It was pandemonium.

Guys, stop name calling and stop this discussion. It is driving everyone crazy.

How many offensive snaps did we have and how many was Duke on the field for?

If he was on the field for over half the snaps, not sure what you want from our OC. We have allot of weapons now, threw the ball 22 times, called 17 rushes for rb/wr and Duke got 2 and looked like crap. He didn't get any thrown his way, but it is hard to argue with the 80% completion and over 10 yards per an attempt.

I think we have more weapons than we realize now and Duke sometimes isn't a favorable matchup.

Realistically the way baker can get the ball downfield to his TE and WR's, the backs are less of a receiving threat in our offense.

The reason McCaffrey is so valuable to the Panthers is because historically Cam is not an accurate qb (having a good accurate season this year though) and the easy swing pass to a rb/slot is needed with Cams lack of accuracy.

By the way, thanks to Phills & jking for taking care of it, but I just want to reiterate.

Knock off the name calling & personal attacks. This board is better than resorting to that garbage.

If you have a problem with a poster, the ignore button is there. If you don't use it and still continuously complain about posters, I'll start assuming you're looking for trouble.

Now back to the thread.

I'm pretty sure Duke missed the last week of practice because he was away at his grandmother's funeral. Might explain why he wasn't very involved in the offensive gameplan as there were rumors that he might miss the game.

Wouldn’t the capability of going downfield to your ends and wideouts conceivably make your backs more of a threat? Safeties can’t play as close to the line of scrimmage when you’re able to throw downfield thus you can have more success in the flats and on screens.

Do you mean more in the sense that with his desire the throw downfield they’ll simply get less targets by virtue?

Basically yes.

I really need to figure out how many snaps Duke got. It was a weird game, we only had like 44 snaps, over 20 less than the panthers yet we won the game. I remember a couple of screens to Chubb, but obviously for this game none to Duke.

But lets look at the game breakdown. Carolina had 39 passes to only 5 targets while the Browns had only 23 passes to 8 targets. We just use more weapons. And 6 of those passes went to Chubb, so clearly Chubb's catching ability has made Duke less used.

I really cant be mad at the little use of Duke though because we are still spreading the ball in a very Brees type of way, For example last game in 29 passes, 9 went to backs, and 7 overall targets. Yes, 6 went to their version of Duke in Kamara, but my point is we spread the ball around, makes it very tough to double team players because 8 targets is very good and none were Duke, even better.

And I want to be clear, I love Duke Johnson and I have to imagine he is in the game plan most days, but I am guessing the speed of Carolinas LB's made us seek mismatches other places.

Duke has been on the field for about a third of the snaps since Kitchens took over as coordinator. Chubb is seeing the field pretty much the other two-thirds of the time, with Hilliard in the five to ten percent range most of the time, with his highest being 12 snaps (21%) under Kitchens.
