Irving, Horford, and Hayward. Gotta be the biggest pussy core in the league. Only reason Celtics were good at all is because of their defense and grit. They removed all of that and kept and added finesse players. Kyrie couldn't lead a one car funeral procession, he's proven that. Brad Steven's better have something huge up his sleeves.

Kyrie has an astounding ability to speak many words and say nothing. He would be the greatest fillibusterer ever...
Why thats the most flat, nondistracted comment I have ever heard about everything KI said.
If you can figure out what I just said, you can be his agent...

I liked the part right after that....

The long hug between Irving and James at 2:31....

Right in front of the cameras after winning the NBA title. After Irving already hung out with Steph and everyone but the ball boy congratulated James.

Kyrie has shown himself to be an asshole, but make no mistake he is a great player, a special player on offense. He is still very much our problem playing now for our biggest Eastern rival.

I really don't want Cavs fans and the city of Cleveland start hating on Kyrie. In the end, he was a huge part of giving this city its first championship in 50 years. He is definitely making difficult, but I would still hope in the end the fans still give him love for what he did here.

I understand wanting a change of scenery and the pursuit of personal happiness. His interview still rubbed me the wrong way and felt like he was taking shots at the city of Cleveland. Never thought I would change my opinion on him even after the trade request as he has been my favorite player since we drafted him, but man he has truly revealed himself to be a pompous douche.

So is Lebron, along with some very positive things as well. If you can't enjoy what a talented basketball player brings to your team because of some personal flaw, you'll never enjoy anything in sports.

Q: Follow up about wanting to separate from James.

KI: .....
It means I wanted to leave the environment that I was in currently and felt like as energy draining as it was and how it would take me for a loop in a roller-coaster ride and all the false reality that was created by a lot of different outlets, it all came crashing down at one point after we lost the last Finals. All I wanted to do is continue to figure out myself, and once I did that, I was able to step up and make the decision.

Windy Interpretation: He repeats his criticism of the environment in Cleveland, which largely is controlled by James, but says he didn't ask for the trade to not play with James anymore. This contradicts statements he made earlier.

I personally don't like Windhorst and felt like he took a little to much liberty in some of these interpretations (I understand the cryptic lines but some of the stuff he was interpreting reminded me of awful English subtitles for a movie dubbed in English. He either indirectly mentioned James (becoming a "true" point guard) or said it's not just one guy or one thing. Both of these can be true and aren't necessarily mutually exclusive so that was annoying. His point about the environment shines a light on why he left beyond having a bigger role that wouldn't be possible with LeBron.

This is a reoccurring line where he talks about the environment (coaching as well) not being conducive to improving as a player and allowing him to exceed his potential. This is a shot at LeBron James and his influence over all facets of the organization. Him wanting to leave before the season finished (confirmed by Kyrie himself) nullifies my original speculation about him blaming LeBron for the leak. LeBron has zero incentive to do so and he probably realized that later on because he flat out said "who cares" when SAS asked who he thinks leaked the trade request.

Someone poisoned him and convinced him that you will not succeed individually or reach a level as a "collective" group until he reaches a new peak that is not possible with LeBron as a teammate. No matter who poisoned him (Kobe, KD, Jealousy of Russ in OKC or Harden post-OKC, father, friends) it's abundantly clear even to him that he is no where near LeBron's level. LeBron could win with the same group without him so the only variable was him when LeBron sat and he couldn't come to terms with changing his game and being a complete player for the team instead of getting his own buckets. You can't be taught to keep your head up AT THIS STAGE in your professional career and just because they wanted you to score didn't mean you couldn't pass (weird mental block which might explain him going AWOL and not speaking to teammates after the first 2 rounds of the playoffs and was surprised he wasn't asked that question on First Take. I've referenced this before but Frye, RJ, and Allie really struck a nerve when they talked about how much success we had when he passed the ball. He got just as defensive as he did during his First Take appearance. He will have nobody to blame but himself for his shortcomings in Boston and he is nowhere near the player Kobe was and will never be at that level.

I was still holding out hope that he was wronged as well but after that interview where he essentially trashed a franchise that traded him to a dream scenario, I'm officially done supporting him. I will always remember that magical 3 year run and the franchises first championship as well as the shot and I hope the franchise gives him a tribute for his time here (it will be tough for many fans to stomach cheering or giving him a standing ovation but it's the more responsible move as an organization).

I absolutely cannot wait for the Sportscenter headline: "The Celtics are back" after they beat the Pheonix Suns by 10 in a competitive ballgame.
