Happy the Cavs are being cautious. The learned their lesson when he broke his kneecap in 2015.

Would like to see him get back on the floor soon(if hes ready!). Brooklyn is a good game to ease back into it. They could even limit his minutes, even if its just for this game.

But I think LeBron's minutes are about to (or at least theyre supposed to) start declining for the next 8-10 weeks. Kyrie playing and playing well is one of the key components in being able to do that.

Was slumming over at RealGM.

Toronto fans arguing that Kyrie shouldn't be an All-Star, Lowry is 10x the leader etc. Cold weather is freezing their brains up there.

So fellas a horrible game from Kyrie equates to 32 points and 4 dimes. I believe it's clear as day that he has leveled up. What we all believed he was capable of it's coming to fruition. I know it's the Net's but I believe he's hitting his superstar destiny right now enjoy
it ha!

Looks like he shook off the rust with that fourth quarter.

Oddly enough he hasn't played well against Phoenix the past couple seasons (11.7 ppg). Therefore he will drop 50 on them.

:( Lowry is better than Kyrie :(

:( hey don't look at Lowry's numbers prior to DeRozan being an all-star :(

:( hey don't look at Lowry's numbers with post-season performance included :(

:( hey don't look at his head2head vs. Kyrie win-loss record :(

Hey don't look at this:

Nitpicky but he looked like Kyrie from a month ago, not the one we've been seeing lately. Damn good game otherwise for being rusty.

Also I'm pretty sure Raptors fans make up at least 20% of posts on RealGMs General Board. We need some backup lol

Next up on point-guard-of-the-week-better-than-Kyrie.

Isaiah Thomas.

Isaiah Thomas.

:chuckle:

He gets literally every free throw opportunity available to the Celtics by default.

That shits not winning him anything outside of the regular season.

I just think guys like Thomas, Lillard, Wall, Lowry; they can be stopped - but teams are not focused on beating the Celtics, Blazers, Wizards, and Raptors. There is no focus on them, there is no sense of urgency to game-plan to stop them, and there is no glory in defeating these teams.

But play the Cavs or the Warriors?

Teams gameplan for us (and GSW) throughout the year; circling dates on calendars, and preparing to showdown as some kind of regular season test of their progression.

Surely it's more complicated than this, and yes Lowry is having a great year - not going to take that away from him; but guys like Thomas I just can't really wrap my head around. He's so manufactured it's just a joke IMHO.

Thomas is no where, in any way, as good as Kyrie.

For those that complaining about Kyrie's defense. Thomas' is much worse.

Guys like Lillard and Thomas are worse defenders than Kyrie.

I don't think Thomas is manufactured at all. He's had to scrap for everything. He was the very last pick in his draft and wasn't just handed anything.

I've seen him play a lot in Sacramento. He's a very good player and everybody was pissed he was let go for such a little amount of money. In particular because the team has had a hard time finding a good point guard. One falls into their lap and they just let him go.

Thomas is such a liability. In the playoffs, his inability to defend really hurts his team a lot.

I'm not saying Kyrie is this great defender. But, he's not yet to be proven to be a major liability either.

I do like Thomas. I think he's a very good player. I don't know if I'd be comfortable having him as a starting point guard on a contending team.

He's meant to come off the bench as a 6th man IMO. His inability to defend is too much of a liability. He is really bad. His lack of size hurts him.

Him being the last pick doesn't really speak to my point.

I don't disagree that he's a good player.

The point here is that I think he's being highly overrated for aforementioned reasons.

I don't think Thomas is the kind of player that can help win a playoff series. I think once teams gameplan for him then his floor presence can become very much mitigated. I also don't expect him to draw a .469 FTr (give me a break) in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game.

For me it's not even his defense, it's how he's producing on the floor.

When nearly half of all your field goal attempts are being called fouls, which is absurd, then yes, I think that warrants further scrutiny into your actual ability to produce for yourself and your team when refs aren't blowing the whistle for you.
