LeBron liking Kyrie's shoe? That's kinda weird. I wonder if there's been a thawing between them or if this dispute between the two isn't manufactured to get Kyrie out of town, with LeBron planning to follow him next offseason? Interesting nontheless.

The whole conspiracy theory that LBJ and Kyrie are plotting to get Kyrie out of town together is fucking absurd...I can't put it any nicer .. This is like the 3rd post in the last month that has suggested so and it's ridiculous

Could this whole thing be just a huge red herring?

Yea, and then they're gonna blow their cover by liking a picture on instagram.

You mean they wanted to play everyone and steal the warriors off season thunder, like GS did to the Cavs last year? Kyrie had the whole 'Earth is flat' fiasco. Anything is possible.

You can only compete in the playoffs, if you have the best players in the league on your roster. Kyrie is a top 15 player. if you have a chance to add that to your roster for multiple years..you do it.

Bledsoe will never be a top 15 player.
JJ will not be a top 15 player.
That future pic will not be a top 15 player.

PHX loses that deal by not taking that deal.

Top 10, can't name 10 definitively better than him. Him and Curry are essentially one and the same, all scoring, no defense. If one dimensional Curry is in your top 10, one dimensional Irving should be right behind him. It is evident by how they cancel one another out every year in the post season.

I actually hope we trade Kyrie for a better defensive package. I'd be disappointed greatly if things are worked out. The team as currently constructed is not good enough.

Again we were a few blown calls and bad transition defensive from winning game 3....I think we would have won game 6...

But I do get the idea of just trying something different and hoping it works. Previously my hope was that Kyrie would just elevate his game to another level and maybe we'd get Melo or Wade in a buyout.

Now there's clinging to a thread.

I try to avoid overly pro-warrior posts these days, but... Curry averaged 8.0 rebounds per game in the finals, along with 2.2 steals. In game 3, no one on either team had more rebounds than Curry (K.Love tied him at 13)

K.Love had a monster rebound game in game 1, but if you just look at games 2,3,4,5 (skip game 1) Curry and K.Love were essentially identical rebounders for the rest of the series. (35 to 34)

K.Irving averaged essentially 1/2 as many rebounds, 1/2 as many steals. (while averaging 1/2 as many assists, but 2.6 more pts per game)

Small sample sizes, sure, but I wouldn't label Curry as "no defense". That would be a pretty harsh criticism of the Cavs rebounding and ball handling. (or, I suppose, against the refs 'allowing curry to get away with anything to jack up his stats?' for the steals)

I certainly don't mean this as trolling. I am just offering a perspective. I believe Irving -can- play defense as well as Curry, but he seemingly decided not to, in the finals, and I have no idea what that means or implies.

Bradley/Drummond hands down.

Lol Curry is better than Kyrie on both ends of the ball. Stop it. If you switched Kyrie and Curry the warriors would get cooked in 5

Curry is a very good defender for a point guard. Kyrie just makes him look bad, as he does everyone.

Curry is better than Kyrie.

But, I disagree that Warriors would get cooked in 5. They are simply too stacked for that to happen. Kyrie would still more or less keep their scoring and spacing elite. We probably win in 7. But eitherway, it would be far closer.

Also, LeBron - Curry would be the ultimate 1-2 duo ever. The best ever at penetrating the paint paired with the best ever shooter? Who do you help off? Good luck defending that!
