LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Love for Lillard? Who says no?

I mean maybe Portland, but even then? it's a great fit for everyone.

Hometown kid gets to play ball, maybe gets his life back together.

LeBron gets a PG out of the deal to ball with. Win-Win for everyone.

I don't care what kinda book is out there on Dame. He's a superstar performing under pressure and succeeds for the most part. Playoff games are just a mental problem that someone like LeBron could have a solution for with a superstar like Lillard.

I saw Dame go toe to toe with Curry and out match him. I love that potential alone. LeBron needs that.

He was just 1st team all NBA. Albeit because Curry was hurt and Westbrook was lower in the standings, I guess, but Dame played some of the best regular season MVP basketball you can hope for. I'd roll the dice on him turning up in the playoffs with a LeBron James basketball team.

Cavs are in no position to be passing on allstar players. If LeBron stays because we can land Lillard, get it done.

With that said, hopefully Dame does seek a trade demand.

Cavs will give up #8 of course, Cedi, and take a bad contract.

I really hope his thought process is not based on the lowest common denominator set.

Part of me wishes LeBron would just humilate these people in person some time.

Like just completely pantsing guys like Stephen A. Smith, Simmons, and Bayless on their lack of knowledge of the game.

You know that scene in Airplane where "Murdoch" goes:

"The hell I don't! Look kid, I've been hearing that crap since I was at UCLA. I've been busting my buns EVERY NIGHT. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier for 48 minutes"

I want that to happen so badly. I know he's kinda taken some shots with the "man in the arena' comment, but you know the guy seriously just wants to let loose on these morons.

Were not getting Lillard. Other teams have better packages to offer. The Celtics could sweep right in again and flip Kyrie/assets for Lillard over the Cavs stuff. The Cavs only hope is that George forces a trade to Cleveland for Love/Cedi and then we flip the 8th for somebody like Walker/contracts who provides the 3rd option. We can afford that and it would give Lebron hope of beating the Warriors in June. JR,TT,Love,Korver will be gone as well, increasing the athleticism of the roster. This is imo, the Altman plan since last summer. Getting George to commit(and I suspect Lebron is working on that right now) and get the ball rolling is the tough part. If that part of the ball doesn't get rolling, James probably is gone.

What?

That makes no sense. Why would they even want to make that trade...especially giving up additional assets as you put it.

And didn't Dame choke these last playoffs?

This is right.

Most optimistic and yet realistic scenario for Cavs is to get the thunder and Paul George in on a love George swap. It’s a huge win win for both sides.

Love next to Adams would be revolutionary for love plus he has the prior relationship with Russ.

Then from there you can look at 8th pick for walker. Keep it clean and simple. Another great deal for both sides.

Then you can look at maybe a 3rd deal where the Cavs take on someone’s bad deal and swap

Cedi-George hill-TTfor biyombo-Fournier-vucevic

That trade gets the magic out of 1 horrific contract that is literally the worst in the league. From a total dollars-production stand point, it’s a worse deal than batums.

That is the kind of thing Gilbert can do for Lebron, deficit spend to take on decent pieces.

Gives you a rotation for the playoffs of

Kemba walker, even Fournier,
Paul George, lbj, vucecic, nance, biyombo plus whatever ring chasing additions you can bring in.....

Part of his rationale might be would rather lose to them before the Finals than the Finals, getting to the mountain top and taking loss after loss takes its toll. People already constantly bring up "3-6".

True but you can't win the finals if you don't even get to them .. personally that 3-6 doesn't bother me... He hasn't been the favorite in any of his last 4 but I know the media loves to talk about it

I don't think this roster wins a title. Tell me why I am stupid.

More was needed than just Kemba..what we don't know since we're backtracking is what the fine details were on the other supposed trades..remember several teams were surprised when the Cavs did the deal..Bucks/Suns were..
Maybe you are right, but Kemba gets us enough scoring to take game 1 out of reach of the refs, Cavs win, LeBron doesn't break his hand, then who knows? Dubs were ripe for a fall, and they are chokers. Our back court was the biggest joke in playoffs history this year, Kemba could have been very useful. If for some reason Kemba was not our guy then with his contract he would be at least as valuable as #8 as a trade chip this year.

It's starting to look like Trae Young won't fall past Chicago, so our chances of being assured of one of Carter, Bamba, or Porter, are pretty good. That's important since all three are players Lebron and George might find desireable to play with. If we either get a rim protector we badly need or the former projected number one overall pick, I'd rather we keep the pick instead of using it to get Kemba. I'm only in favor of trading the pick for Kemba if we have to decide between Sexton, Young, and one of the Bridges.

Porter won't be there.

Think Memphis or Dallas most likely pick him up. If not them, then Chicago.
