LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yea I'd say Carter Jr is the most likely big and I'm starting to be good with that .. now if Bamba, JJJ, or MPJ fall then that is awesome but WCJ can be an AS in this league

All the NBA had to do was block the KD signing. Parity was decent before then.
Dallas, Miami, Spurs, GS, Cavs...Had all won championships.

Now its GS winning it every single year. Pretty simple really.
Dont let the second best player join the second best team in the league.

Its not like that happens often...or ever.

NBA was never going to block the Durant signing, and before any brings up CP3 and the Hornets/Lakers deal, league(and Dan Gilbert:chuckle:) had it vetoed since they were defacto owners. Warriors got very lucky that their franchise player couldn't stay healthy until 4 years ago and a cap spike. They got lucky that a player like Durant would join them after they took his old team out.

Cavs got lucky after 2014 with LBJ. For as great as the come home story looked, the Heat just got destroyed by the Spurs with zero ways of improving, while the Cavs had an awesome young player in Kyrie and the assets to get a guy like Love. Luck plays a huge role in building teams, and I really hope we have some come our way again.

Having read the Lakers forums (man they are confident. If I had their level of confidence and delusion? I would be able to interview and get jobs as a ceo in a major company)

I guess they're assuming that Buss, and Magic Johnson are going to sell him on the idea of:

-"YOU GET TO LEAD THESE YOUNG GUYS AND HAVE A SAY JUST LIKE IN CLEVELAND"

-"HEY UH? WE KNOW YOU WANT TO OWN A FRANCHISE, SO WHY NOT OURS? WE'LL SELL YOU A SHARE"

....With all due respect? While I can see LeBron going there (in fact they are the leader currently to me), those two options seem not likely.

Selling a piece of Lakers ownership off is akin to selling off a piece of the Yankees or Cowboys. That brand is far too valuable.

And I cannot see the Buss family pulling a Gilbert. They have a culture over there. LeBron isn't some, special "once in a lifetime" player for them. He's the guy that came after Wilt, Kareem, West, Magic, Shaq, and Kobe. And there will be players of his calibers that come after him.

I would STILL put them in the lead though now because LeBron wanting to go "Hollywood" (he wants to be a producer), PG likely preferring to play in his hometown (if the two have already collab'd), the media telling us "He's gone" (have not seen a lot of positivity in our direction), and I think he's feeling like it's Miami 2013-2014 all over again (Riley and Arison blowing him off when asking for help).

Yeah didn’t think of it much but looks like he’s going to California to play for the Sacramento Kings

I can see it now. LeBron goes into fat Elvis stage reinforcing George's iffy desire to win. Lakers make a few playoffs never reaching the wcf and LeBron bails at age 37. Leaving the Lakers with a new rebuild i. The 20's. Be careful what you wish for.......

Maybe you are right, but Kemba gets us enough scoring to take game 1 out of reach of the refs, Cavs win, LeBron doesn't break his hand, then who knows? Dubs were ripe for a fall, and they are chokers. Our back court was the biggest joke in playoffs history this year, Kemba could have been very useful. If for some reason Kemba was not our guy then with his contract he would be at least as valuable as #8 as a trade chip this year.
I'm not saying Kemba wouldn't have elevated the backcourt, I'm saying we needed more than just him especially with JR's implosion ..
Plus the way that game went..Cavs could have been up by more points( would have had to be 10+) and the refs could have still taken it away.

Yeah, that video above nails it. Why wouldn't you just tank? Philly had the right idea and look at them now.
