New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They fucked House of Cards up and I'm salty about it.

I couldn't even make it through this newest season.

SAD!

I haven't started the newest season yet but this makes me nervous. Is it that bad? Last season was tough to battle through but I was hoping we'd see some improvement this time around?

EDIT: Just read @Soar's, @DJTJ's and @bigfoot5415's review - what's the story here, lol? Good or bad?

Rewatching Mad Men for the first time. Forgot how good it is and it makes me sad there are few shows of that caliber today.

I thought it was completely miserable and boring. Basically just a bunch of sex scandals and whatever.

Season 1/2 were great but it's been pretty shit ever since. With this season being the worst so far I'd say.

Put me in camp @Triplethreat in that we are not impressed with the new season of HOC. What does carry the show a lot is the impressive acting and the quality of direction. Make no mistake that those are very good, but sadly the plot is what troubles me. The first two seasons, they take the time to establish the story, the plot and the twist. But recently it seems more like when they want the story to go a certain way they just plop on you without a build up and then when they feel the next the next plot they need to establish, boom they just spring it. No proper transition or tying up loose ends. If you are a plot person, it will bug you.

Netflixs "bordertown" is from the creator of 3 south/contributor of family Guy.

Attacks the left and right. May be vaguely interesting to some

It was...not good.

I enjoyed House of Cards personally. I thought season 3 and 4 were bad but this one had me more invested. Idk.

Silicon Valley continues it's excellent run. This past week's episode was hilarious. Some of the comedy is so nuanced that i'll often find find hilarious moments i missed upon first viewing.

Initially i was worried about TJ Miller leaving the show but he's hardly been in the last few episodes (perhaps purposely done, not sure what the timeline was regarding him "quitting the show announcement" vs. when the writers actually knew) but the rest of the cast has just been clicking in a way I haven't seen in a comedy since Entourage. Shit, i think i've enjoyed watching it more than i enjoyed watching Entourage in its peak seasons...a few years ago, i never would've said that.

If you have yet to give Silicon Valley a try, please do. It's only gotten better and better each season, which is rare for a sitcom, IMO.

GLOW - A good first season

This show talks about how the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling was formed. The pilot episode was a bit dull and just sets up the main characters but it gets much better as the episodes progress and the comedy content increases as well. The comedy is more like Weeds/Orange is the new Black than a Its always Sunny/ Veep but it is not as dark as the former.

So... Historically, HoC uses full seasons to build.

I thought 1-3 were wonderful. I thought four was going to be like two (which I didn't like at first because it felt like it was pushing the twist to three), loved the cliff hanger...

And then they just shit all over the show.
