New TV Series to watch

Anyone been watching Preacher? Half way through season 1 and this ish is nuts.
 
Well this came out of nowhere. Castlevania is a a cartoon tv series on NetFlix? I guess they figure it's almost impossible to make a good movie out of a video-game Ip, but perhaps a show on a premium network? The reviews so far seem pretty good. Although season 1 is only 4 episodes.

Thought it was really entertaining, and probably the bloodiest and goriest animation I've ever seen. Just wish it was longer, since this basically serves as a long introduction to the main story.
 
Just started Glow. Boobs showing in the first few minutes. That's a positive. Some laughs early. Giving it a chance...

It was alright...not great, but not bad. Quick watch with short episodes. Total lack of boobs after the first part of the first episode.
 
Started The Shield...my dad used to watch it and loved it. Looking forward to getting through this series.
 
The Leftovers getting screwed over in Emmy noms is a television travesty.

My personal choice for second best show ever made (after The Wire). The first season is a bit uneven, but one thing I love about the show is how even the stuff that happens in the first episode is drastically important down the road. Seasons four and five are two of my favorite seasons of television ever, and the show has the best finale of any TV show I've ever watched. I have it above Breaking Bad because, unlike BB, the ending isn't just fan service.

Clearly HBO is trying to push Westworld because that's the horse they have moving forward. Just a damn shame that it's happening to the detriment of Leftovers. The show, Coon, and Theroux absolutely deserved noms and wins. Winning Emmys might have actually gotten it some post-broadcast love that it deserves.

Yea didmt think of that.

I still think season one is a hurdle so high most wouldn't be willing to jump it to get to the good stuff. It's unfortunate.

The Shield is definitely top 3 all time.
