New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can someone recommend me a HBO show to start watching.

I have seen GoT, The Wire (was that HBO?), most of VEEP, The Sopranos, True Detective, Band of Brothers, Oz, Eastbound & Down, Entourage.

Pretty much all I can think of right now. Trying to get into something else.

Give me 1-2 shows I should definitely check out.

Westworld? Ballers? The Night Of? I have no damn clue. I like pretty much everything besides The Bachelor type shit, reality TV.

Comedy wise if you haven't seen Silicon Valley I would defiantly recommend that, most recent season which was 4 I believe was pretty good and it includes a fat bearded Haley Joel osment so there that.

Silicon Valley is probably the best comedy on TV right now.

Better call saul was bad this season.

It is never going to pick up. There are too many characters for whom you don't care.

Literally didn't even realize episode ten was the finale.

I actually think it was the best season they had so far. I was more interested in Jimmy and Chuck than I was in previous seasons.
I'm glad we got to see how Hector ended up in the wheelchair. I feel like the show is finally getting good. The way the season ended was great, IMO. Chuck went mad.

Please make sure you don't make the mistake I did and have your phone distract you. This show is about as good as it gets.

I feel you there, dawg (Scary Terry, Bitch). I re-watched it because I had the same type of first run and realized I had missed SOOOO much. Like the fact that after episode 2 snowball's picture is on the wall or the loudspeaker saying that there was a spider in the road so expect delays (in the women's world bazorkazork episode).

It's so good. So good

Today became a cheat day real fast

Yeah i think they might just make gavin belson even stranger and more big head to fill the gap

Is it just me or them going back to Belson suing them might make the show feel repetitive. I like how they back themselves into a corner every now and then but going against Belson again kinda feels tired.

I kinda want to see them finally succeed even a bit, like they get flushed with cash and discover things they weren't privy to before (because they kinda always failed with their projects/platforms).

I'm four eps in to Ozark on Netflix. I like it so far. Jason Bateman is good as usual. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

The issue I'm having with it is that, unlike most other shows in this genre, they really give you no reason to like any of these people. Bateman's character is just kind of an awful person. His wife is an awful person. His daughter sucks too.

When you watch Breaking Bad, Walt is a likable guy at the beginning, and it's entertaining to see how he slowly morphs into a terrible person as his success as a criminal fuels his ego after all his failures as a non-criminal. When you watch The Shield, you see Vic Mackey do some terrible things, but ultimately he's not an awful human being. He does care about catching criminals and stopping crime, and he cares about his family and friends.

I don't get that sense here. Bateman just seems to be a generally miserable person and we start the story when he's already been a criminal washing money for cartels for years.

I'm only two episodes in, though, so maybe it gets better. I don't hate it or anything, but it's hard to care about any of these people because none of them seem to have any redeeming qualities. The most likable guy was the cartel boss, which probably wasn't intentional. :chuckle:
