Apparently there was some supplemental material from Prometheus saying that Jesus was actually an engineer sent to better mankind, and we killed him, so they decided to kill us.

This is exactly right...

The next film:

Alien: The Engineers Strike Back.

Across scattered worlds the Engineers learn of David's atrocity. They are big. They are pale. And they are pissed. An armada of Engineer marines move to intercept David and his creations for a deadly rendezvous.

King Arthur was bloody great.
Not sure why it's getting such shit ratings.

Cruise plays the role of Kelly McGillis, educating the new crop of elite pilots at Top Gun academy. One student takes a liking to Tom, as he sings Madonna's Vogue in his face. Tom must remain stoic, as not to alarm the other guys jumping around of his desires. Tom and the student then play "Find the potato" to a Kenny Loggins song. That's about it.

He looks fucking terrible

He just recently admitted he's been battling cancer but has made a full recovery on an AMA reddit. It was actually one of the best AMA's i've ever read. I was surprised as I always heard he was a dick amongst movie industry folk but he loves his fans apparently.

Agreed. His portrayal of Doc Holliday in Tombstone is one of my favorite acting performances in film history.

Please give more details! I was turned off from even considering it after looking at the IMDB ratings.

It depends on how you go into the movie. I thought the fast paced, witty dialog and action were welcoming and everything you would expect from a guy ritchie film. Some critics claimed those scenes were a bit confusing but if you had half a brain, it really wasn't hard to follow. I thought it worked well and really added to the film. The movie does a really great job of engaging you from the very start and it really doesn't let up.
Not to say the movie doesn't has its faults. The tone throughout the movie continued to change back and forth quite a bit. It could have been handled better, but it didn't totally ruin the movie either. The climax of the movie I thought came out of no where and went just as fast as it came. Really wish we got more of it but I get the sense they were trying to condense the film. The movie was 2 hours but it really would have benefited from an extra 30 minutes.
Don't expect a King Arthur true to the story in every form. It's not your typical film that we have come to expect of today, but thats a good thing imo. I give it a solid 7/10
Would see it again.
