Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can't really argue with the points you've made. But, the fact that 6 wins is considered a great season indicates just how low the bar is here and how conditioned the fans are to defeat. I mean the bar is literally on the ground. Most other places 6-10 is unacceptable and lousy.

Most other places aren't coming off of 1-31 with the same coach at the helm moving forward. Most other places also don't do a Hinkie-esqe tank.

6 wins isn't considered a great season, it's considered a move in the right direction.

I'm not going to belly-ache if my 3rd grade child hasn't mastered algebra yet. Why should I spend time lamenting the fact that they're a long way from the top? What purpose does that serve?

Hate being that guy, but "on paper" o_O with our new additions and the progression of our rooks/2nd years, 6 wins would probably be a down year. Now, if we didn't go and add all of these FA's and we won 6 games with basically the same roster/rookies, then that's a huge success. A giant leap in the right direction.

Let's just get some wins and be happy that maybe we can be happy on Saturday AND Sunday for a handful of weeks.

I'm saying 9 wins at a minimum this year

I'm done being optimistic at this point in the year. I've been burned every one of the last 4-5 years thinking we were going to win more games than Vegas said.

I've been wrong every year so I'm betting the under this year. You are welcome boys

Browns win 5 or 6, Hue gets canned.

True RPO coach is brought in and gets us to 7 with Baker in 2019.

Next offseason too early to bring Lincoln Riley up to the pros?

I know it's already cliche to be looking for the next Sean McVay, but Riley really seems like he could be the next stud young coaching candidate. Regardless of his relationship with Baker.

I'm being serious here. If we cant win 5-6 games with this roster, is Hue Jackson #1 on that short list of worst coaches of all time? Rich Kotite, David Shula, Bruce Coslet bad? He'll have the record to prove it.

Riley or Herman would be tremendous. An offensive guru who actually lives up to that title. Cant wait.

I agree...no fucking excuses this year..

5-6 may not even save his job.
