The Magic Number Thread: 2017 Edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m not gonna bother posting a real update after this one. You all know what the situation is.

Do we own the tiebreaker? Any scenarios where we fall to three?

I wonder if Toronto will sit their starters. Not that it matters because I'm sure their bench would still beat the Cavs.

Getting to see PG or Butler beat the Celtics will be very enjoyable.

Celtics aren't a lock for the #1.

Milwaukee is likely to be locked into their spot after tomorrow (unless Atlanta loses). I fully expect them to punt on Wednesday.

I also don't expect the Cavs to play everyone on Wednesday. Standings will likely end up:

1. Boston
2. Cleveland
3. Toronto
4. Washington
5. Atlanta
6. Milwaukee
7. Indiana
8. Chicago

Didn't we fuck around with this last year too? Until Kyrie was finally scratched like 5 minutes before tip?

They might wait and see if Toronto rests either Lowry or DeRozen. If they rest one of them, still a shot at the No. 1 seed. Milwaukee should be able to beat Boston.

Why does Milwaukee care? They could be locked into their seeding by tomorrow night.

Why? Boston is better and playing for the 1 seed. I don't understand.

Not everything is set in stone yet. Indiana and Chicago just right behind them.

Milwaukee has been on fire a little bit as of late. Brogdon and Giannis have been great. Just saying, anything is possible.

Yea, anything is possible, but why "should" Milwaukee beat Boston? I'm positive Vegas won't think so.
