Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well you know Lebron and Lue seem to be kind of a package deal. Almost like Lue is the Lebron whisperer for some strange reason. It would be hilarious if Lebron somehow sold Kahwi to come here because Lue is the anti-Popovich.:chuckle:

No, even if we keep Lebron, land Kahwi, and win a title, people will hate them some Lue and I'll have to wade through their tears all next season.
I hate Lue. Hate him.

But I'm not going to pass on 1 or more years of the GOAT because of that hate.

That would just be stupid.

I've become indifferent to Lue, IDK if he stays or goes. But I do place some importance on what guys like Lebron think about him over what fans at RCF think about him. And I've developed a contrary streak, semi-trolling to get reactions from the haters is tempting as hell.

But if he goes for whatever reason I would be fine with it. I really DGAF either way.

Well, of course you should. Our opinions shouldn't matter at all to you on this, just as whether you enjoy watching Lue-coached teams shouldn't matter to any of us. Is it worth having unwatchable regular season basketball if you make it to the Finals at the end? The answer to that is a personal preference for which there isn't any right or wrong answer.

Anyway, my opinion is that it is going to be almost impossible for the Cavs to add enough new talent to last year's talent to have a realistic chance of beating GSW. I think the only way to improve significantly is if we also get substantially more production from the players we had last year. In other words, we need internal improvement as well as external improvement if we want to improve this team significantly.

And I don't believe that can or will happen as long as Lue is the coach.

I'm anticipating several nightmares in the coming months that are based on nights where Sexton goes 3-12 shooting and in the post-game presser Lue just says "After the game I told Collin he just has to continue being aggressive."

We could get rid of lue and hire Avery Johnson

Avery is gonna be coaching at a DIII school in 3 years. The guy's career is really strange and he was really hated by fans during his NBA tenure.

On that note, are any coaches besides Pop and Stevens liked? Hating NBA coaches seems more like the rule than exception.

Lue will most likely stay. I just heard that he had a big part/say in drafting Sexton.

Scotts guy was Waiters
Browns guy was Anthony Bennett
Lues guy is Sexton. Lets hope Lue finally did something right.

Can we ban the words Brown and Bennet from these forums? I start grinding my teeth everytime I'm reminded of them.

his performance this year was as bad as I've seen from a coach in a long time. I'll never understand how a professional team can continue to make the same defensive mistakes over and over again (assuming they're actually practicing). I'll never understand the thought process of going with a known negative (like JR is this point or like KK is against GSW) and not try an unknown (like Cedi). That said, I get the difficulties he dealt with this season including his health and issues in the locker room (IT, DWade). When the season ended, my joy of watching the team had diminished to the point that I wasn't going to get the nba package next season. But with the draft over, seeing how Lue is going to work w/Sexton and Clarkson over the summer, I'm reluctantly willing to give him another season.

I give up. I'm taking the avi off. I can't stand it anymore. Hopefully it does something positive.

Two biggest threats to sextons rookie yr:
1. Ty Lue
2. Being influenced by the ball play of Clarkson
