Afflalo turns 27 in October, really wouldn't call that young when speaking in basketball terms

If Orlando made this trade thinking Afflalo is going to turn into an all star, I would say their FO needs to be fired now.

Just amazing the Lakers are able to get Howard, keep Gasal, and add some solid bench players. Duhan, Clark, Hill, is a great little bench. Hill and Clark are young to. I am not saying they are great players, but as your back up bigs with Jamison, the lakers have a deep team.

No one has a model that involves making shitty trades. Hell, if all they got from Houston was one of their 3 picks from this year, Kevin Martin, and Toronto's pick, that would be world's better than this.

That package is barely better than the poo poo platter we got for LeBron at the last minute. This is what Hennigan was waiting for? Really?

Affalo was assisted on 76% of his shots last year and benefited greatly from the teams' pace and a lot of dribble penetration from their point guards. I'm still convinced he's overpaid. No doubt Hennigan will be playing him off as the main attraction of the deal.

Disastrous start for Presti's protege. Embarrassing.

edit: I read that Harkless signed on July 9th, but it wasn't announced until the 23rd, so he is eligible to be traded. If he's included, it's still a bad deal but without him it's a complete catastrophe.

I don't know if Duhon and Clark have ever been good at any point in their careers. That said, the Lakers are going to be the favorites, but it's a win right now team. Two year window.

I mean honest to god just getting Bynum straight up would have been a better trade than this. The Nets offer was better than this.

I think not. Russ will shut down Nash and kill the latter on the offensive end. Put KD on Kobe and he will freaking shoot himself out of the game. Everybody hates Perk since he is slow as hell but he is the perfect center to check D12.

As for Cavs, yes, they wavered because of not receving assurances from Andrew Bynum. But Cavs supposedly were asked to give up a lot more. There's a reason Dwight Howard deal becamse a four-team trade. When it was just three teams, one of those teams would have to give up too much, take on too much salary.

Yea I agree. I'm still not sure they beat OKC. I've said multiple times this past season that Perkins sucks, but he does have ONE skill set, and it's guarding big-ass back to the basket centers. He was put on this Earth to guard Dwight Howard.
 
Typical lakers always get whoever they want. The nba has become a joke and all on sterns watch. He needs to go. And Adam Silver needs to go with him. Bring in someone fresh and someOne who can laugh at this trade proposal.
