I said this in the game thread but the irony is that Dion Waiters is a better point guard option than Jarret Jack.

He would attack off the PNR and move the ball to the open guy for sure. Whether Bennett rolled or popped, Waiters would find him and the kid would start getting his confidence.

Not knocking Jack, just saying Waiters is a better passer/playmaker as evidenced by him and Kyrie both having no synergy with each other.
 
Coming into the league the way he did is no picnic. He's had pretty much the worst beginning he could have from the standpoint that he's pressed from the very beginning, and it's starting to snowball now .. Once the first basket falls and he can get the monkey off his back he'll realize it's still the same game he's thrived at his entire life. He's just gotta turn off the mind that is spinning in circles the minute he gets on the court right now. It's amazing how when a player presses, it just shuts down every natural reflex that he has within him ..

He's gonna break out of this soon, and when he does he'll be fine.

I've said this, but Bennett actually needs to roll once in a while. That's on him.

And from what I saw in the pre-season, he wasn't all that adept at finishing in traffic in the first place.

I feel bad for the guy, but I do not think it's a good idea to send him out there with the starters just to hope things go right. Each possession counts and you lose games that way.

If you asked Bynum who gave him the best entry pass tonight I bet he would say Tristan Thompson.

Thats how bad CJ, Gee and Jack have been at feeding a big down there. Id like to see Bennett get minutes with one of our two point guards, Kyrie or Dion.
 
If I'm Bennett I'm staying late after every game working on my jumper. Doing suicides, working on my post game and working my ass off to show the league I'm worthy of a first pick. I don't hang my head, I don't make people feel sorry for me, I go hard every fucking day! You talk shit, I'm coming at you. I play my game, I am the number 1 pick and your going through me. So wake the heck up and be a number one because this guy doesn't feel sorry for him when Bennett's the one making millions to play like a fucking marshmellow.

I agree with you, the second unit doesn't have a really good passer amongst them, but I'm just not sure you can try and force it with a guy struggling like this. It's gonna just take a big lead in the fourth where we play either Kyrie and Dion and throw Bennett in there with them when the game is secure. He's just not gonna get serious burn right now against the other team's starters.
 
Whenever I think negatively about anything cavs related I picture TT getting blocked 7 times a game for the first 2 months last year, and cj miles being one of the worst players you could ever imagine.

Now they are both playing lights out ball, things can always change.

Bennett also could get minutes with the starters if Tristan gets into foul trouble or on one of the many 2nd-night-of-back-to-backs we have this month. He was able to keep his mind on defense his first stint tonight but then totally got lost the second time around (the Cunningham putback among other things). If he keeps playing solid on the defensive end, Brown will keep putting him out there.

A kid that is now a multi-millionaire, so I dont really empathize. He is getting paid to do a job, and right now he failing miserably.
 
It's starting to snowball too. While he could have hid on this team just playing ok basketball, or even below average ball, the start has been so bad that the national media is starting pick up on it too.
