Pau Gasol Safari Has Turned Into Shoot Anything That Moves

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Well looks like we'll be fucked when we have to re-sign him and start signing our rookies to extensions.

Can't wait til thanks are turned back on. I gotta go back and thank ALOT of posts in the last 20 pages. And I'm in the extra giving mood right now. :gap:

Even if he doesn't want to re-sign here, we have his bird rights.

We can offer more than any other team + can use him in a sign & trade.

Either way, trading for an All-Star SF without giving up any of your best, significant assets is not a "desperation move"..

Cavs are awful right now and are desperate to win to get to the playoffs this year. That is why this trade was made. We risk losing him after he season. If the guy walks we basically go back to sucking ass again.

We didn't give up 'nothing.' You really think the Bulls called the Cavs and said "hey, we don't want shit." We have them picks. But honestly, fuck the picks.. I'd be with you if it were only the picks..

I'm just thinking we're going to look back at this in 5-7 years and say "lol.. remember when we had a chance to draft Jabari Parker, but opted for that Deng rental? Yeah... damn.. only if we'd have known."

I'm not knocking the trade. Grant was told to compete, not 2-3 years from now, but now.. He did a great job turning Bynum into Deng.. All day long. Guy deserves accolades for the trade.

I just question Gilbert's steadfast desire to compete now, rather than waiting.

Deng alone isn't going to get the Cavs the playoffs. Trading Bynum for a useful player, even if it is a rental (he won't be going to a team like Miami thankfully) and not giving up too much. I do agree that Gilbert/Grant are trying hard to get playoffs in -the wrong year- to do it. But Mike Brown is going to ensure this team misses the playoffs. Those who are optimistic that this team will make the 'offs in current form unless some other changes are made... LOL

It might not much more than that. Part of it might be frustration with how the Bulls have been treating him the last year.

We sure as hell aren't going to run him into the ground with 40 minutes and treat him like a 4th option.

We will either have Lebron or Deng signed long term this offseason no matter the cost. Mark it down in your little black books.

Team looks to be swinging for the fences. We'll find out if that's the one in the outfield or the one behind us. :chuckles:

The Bullshit Whisperer intimating Cavs looking to make another move. No idea what that might be but we'll see.

I'll fully judge this move once everything falls in to place but looks like a win.

Really like Deng, would like him even more if he indicated (in any fashion) he'd like to stick around.

I suppose that will depend on how good this team is with him and how they might be able to fill out the roster.

But this also means Jack has got to go.

Jack for Miller.

Well in the RealGm article Deng has apparently raved privately and publicly about Kyrie Irving.
