2014 NFL Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have not seen Mack play much at all - except for when they played Ohio State. All i remember thinking to myself during that game was, Jesus Christ - that kid is a freak.

I firmly believe Mack will be a legit pass rusher in the NFL.

Hell, St. Louis might snatch him at 2. I mean why the fuck not.

The bastard can do everything.

So eloquently put.

Bottle that up and you got somethin' sweeter than Yoo-Hoo.

I wonder if we do trade down if Dennard from Michigan St. would be a target. All the talk of getting Revis makes it seem Pettine wants another lockdown guy opposite of haden.

The fact that Gallon set the single season reception yards record with Devin Gardner throwing him the football is damn impressive. I've watched a lot of UM football, and Gallon has been nearly unguardable the last 2 seasons. The best thing about him, is even at his size, he is capable of making the 50/50 catch. He's so good at high-pointing the football and using his body to shield defenders and make catches.

You then think about how defenses would bracket cover him because UM was limited on offensive weapons, but Gallon still always got his. Kid is just a great player and will make some team really happy. Gallon getting 1 on 1 coverage is a problem for any defense. Explosive, quick burst athlete, with great hands and timing...kids gonna be good. And he'll likely make it past rd 5 which is insane. All because he doesn't have great height...I get it. But when you watch him play it feels like he's closer to 6'7 than 5'7. Not the best comparison but he reminds me a little of Steve Smith. Guys that play much bigger than they are and are extremely physical. Great hands and route runner to match...I truly believe he'll be one of the best slot receivers in the NFL within 2 years.

Kid has desire and doesn't quit or pout. He gives 110% every minute of the game. It's damn shame he is 5' 7 1/2" and not 6', or he'd be in discussion for late 1st round. I'd love for us to grab this kid and wouldn't be opposed to using one of our 4ths on him, he'll help us that much.

First off, no way that happens. I do not see any chance that the Browns have their CHOICE between Bortles & TB. If we get lucky, we have one fall to us, and we gobble them up like stuffing on Thanksgiving. Then I would honestly consider seeing what team is interested in Watkins and seeing what it would take. If the price isn't too steep, you would have to consider it. If the price is too high, then just back away and take one of the complimentary receivers in the 1st or 2nd.

Point is, if we actually have a choice between both or shit, even have the option to take only 1 of them, this draft is perfectly working in our favor.

He's posted instagrams of himself in a Lions uniform and a Bucs uniform also. He appears to be doing rounds of the high picks.

True, I saw those too. Just thought it might be something for people to gawk at.

Be nice is he was doing something besides looking mopey.

No disrespect to Slaughter, Langhorne, and Newsome...

But Gordon, Watkins, and Cameron would quite possibly be the most lethal receiving combination in franchise history. We need a quarterback, but it's almost worth a roll of the dice with Hoyer and/or late first round rookie QB.

You know I'm tired of us watching other teams trade up and make themselves better. It's time for this team to be bold. We have a nice young foundation in place it's time to take that next step and make a bold move in the draft. Now I have no idea how the Browns feel about the qbs at the top of the draft, but I would love to see them call St. Louis and try to get that second overall pick and keep 4. Will it cost us for the 2015 draft? Of course it will, but it's time for a bold move to reshape the face of the franchise. Could you imagine coming away with Bridgewater and a Watkins or Clowney. That's a franchise altering move.

We have the picks to get this done and now it's come time to make this type of move for this team. Yes it will hurt not having that 2015 first round pick but I don't care anymore lets get this done.

I'd really rather not be where Washington is right now, and that sounds a lot like what you're suggesting.

Getting the second overall pick without giving up 4 is going to take a shitload more than a 2015 first

I've been screaming to trade up from 26 for months. It makes sense in this draft class, and the team is already looking good with talent on the roster, just need a few important position to get over the hump.

I'd deal 26 and next years first, but definitely not a Washington type deal. Considering the Browns have picked top 10 the last some odd years, I'm sure there would be interest with those two first rounders.
