Week 3 (9/27): Raiders (1-1) @ Browns (1-1) [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This.

The Raiders have an elite pass rushing team. They were generating enough of a rush to disrupt the Browns running attack today too. This would've been a messy game if Manziel played. Very messy. McCown was inconsistent but he didn't have a ton of time or space to get his throws off. Johnny would've been running for his life....

No they don't. They came into this game with no sacks on the season while giving up 30 points in each of their first two games.

Now Khalil Mack is elite. I'll give you that.

@David.

so you come in here and bitch and moan about why we follow all cleveland teams and not just the good ones, then rate my post complaining about the team old? Oh wait, nevermind just a retaliation rating :)

wait. youre complaining having your post rated old after rating my post old.

I just want to be sure.

let me clea it up:

theres 20 fucking pages of you gys watching this dumpster fire of a team that has failed to win more games than last for literallly 2 decades now.

it is literaly the exact same narrative every single year.

you are.. you just cant be this upset about this team. if you are, you need to be hitin the head with something hard.

stop fucking selling these games out, stop getting your panties in a bunch, this is what you signed up for. This is the product you buy.

i tried surfing. Waves kept hitting me in the fucking face, it was cold, I was miserable. You know what a smart person does? He stops fucking surfing.

Translation: "The team you like and root for is bad so stop being upset when they don't do well. Be more like me and don't be a fan. Don't like anything and just be a cool guy like me."

OT: Looks like the Bills have taken the Seahawks route in building their team, and it's looking pretty damn good.

It is possible to build a successful team in the league with at least just a capable QB (not spectacular), but with substantial talent on both sides of the ball.

We just fail in almost all categories.

I wonder who will be coaching us next year? HS Mike ain't gonna cut it.

David Shaw seems like a good coach whose career I would love to derail for a few years.

During the Browns post-game show just now I heard a Drug Mart commercial with Bernie Kosar endorsing cheap generic prescriptions. He finished the commercial off by saying how Drug Mart will protect you like Bernie's O line protected him. Who green lighted that commercial?

Dude, Josh McDaniels turned down the opportunity to coach this team. Of all criticisms to levy on this group, Pettine's star is one of the brightest. There are plenty of issues with the roster and player development, but rebuilding from the ground up after 18 games isn't going to get it done.

People aren't breaking down the door for a chance to coach our team. Pettine seems to at least be able to put his players in a position to succeed. Top to bottom this team is bad. I don't know if they need to overhaul the scouting department, or fire Farmer himself, but let's get the players in place before we start tossing out coaches every year. That doesn't work, and everyone else in the NFL has caught on. They don't want to be next.

I honestly don't see any justification for firing Pettine.

Don't really think this team is as bad as some on here do. At least not to the point where they can't begin to win if they're able to figure out the QB position.

Maybe I'm too quick to judgement, but I'm not seeing much production out of our draft picks over the past couple of years. If those spots were being filled by quality starters, I'd agree with you. But so far we still have holes at CB, LB, TE, WR, QB...

I also know no team is going to be 100% at all positions, but QB is only one factor. We still gave up 27 points to an Oakland offense that is average at best. Our defense is average, our QB is putrid, and our offensive personnel outside of QB is below average (with the noticeable exception of OL).
