Do Not Sell My Personal Information
i tried surfing. Waves kept hitting me in the fucking face, it was cold, I was miserable. You know what a smart person does? He stops fucking surfing.

Or you can surf the "interweb":p Muhahahahahahha !!!

Blue Jackets definitely don't belong in that list..

They have gotten a bit better the last two years, but they are a pretty garbage franchise. One first round exit in 15 years isn't very good. Maple Leafs should be on the list too.

I think it's Browns, Knicks, TWolves in that order.

I honestly don't see any justification for firing Pettine.

Don't really think this team is as bad as some on here do. At least not to the point where they can't begin to win if they're able to figure out the QB position.
Need to fix the inability to stop the run, put pressure on the Qb, run the ball at a respectable level , get wr's that can make big plays and yes also a QB in a passing era. Oh Yes, and a new D Coordinator that should be doing this at the NFL level and a GM that can get impact players in the early rounds of the draft . Other then that things are dandy.

What would the reaction be if Manziel threw for 341 and two TDs today?

While being plagued by Khalil Mack to boot.

McCown was solid, which his numbers net out.

83.2 Rating......which is pretty much spot on with league average.

He threw 49 times, 7.0 YPA.....again, pretty much league average.

Completed 57.1% of his throws, which is below league average.

He made a couple really nice throws, a couple awful ones and a couple that are inexcusable for a 36 year old QB.

All in all, he did what I expected him to do.....be just good enough for the Browns to still lose.

My thoughts this week will be much, much briefer than in weeks past.

Good:
1) McCown. He's going to get a bad rep but he really was fantastic. I am utterly shocked. He definitely under threw receivers a few times (5 by my count) but was overall an effective game manager.
2) Brian Hartline and Travis Benjamin both did their jobs. They were an effective tandem.

Bad:
Everything.

The two worst, imo:
1) The running game is legitimately worthless. Whatever reason Pettine and the other geniuses keep saying our running game will setup the passing game is a foreign language to me. It is worthless and not creative.
2) Our secondary doesn't want to play. It's as simple as that.

A distant third is the terrible gameplan in this game and the Jets game. I'm so sick of hearing "play like a Brown." That's fucking bullshit. Play like a Steeler, or a Patriot, or a Seahawk, but whatever you do, do not play like a fucking Brown. They're an embarrassment to the city.

Haslam should light a fire. Win 7 games or you are out Mike. That will get his attention. Win 7 or back to proctoring study halls Mike.

Browns are being laughed at nationally more than ever right now.

Johnny wrecked the league last week. Poking fun but it was a W.

Johnny back to being #2.

Lose to Oakland and still plan on starting McCown.

Manziel deserves a year of being developed, or fail.

It does nothing to Cleveland in a lose-lose situation. They'll suck regardless.

At least you get a season of a QB you drafted in the 1st round over the likes of Teddy, Carr.

Cleveland Browns are a backwards ass organization and its a disgrace to the fans who have to sell that place out.

Josh McCown, give me a break.

I actually like Pettine. At least in the sense that I think he gets players to play beyond their talent level. The team is just dirt poor and lack any desire to play. The latter is an area that Pettine needs to fix stat or I'll start agreeing with you.

I've seen a couple people say that Pettine boosts our players, but what makes you say that? I'm not just trying to shit on him after a bad game either, but most of our players play at or below expectations at least in my opinion.

They're a playoff team this year and will be a force to be reckoned with in the not so distant future. Their farm system (Lake Erie Monsters as of this year) is completely LOADED. I can't reiterate just how loaded their prospect pipeline is-- Milano, Wennberg, Bjorkstrand, Forsberg, Rychel, Anderson, Bittner, Karlson, Carlsson, Werenski, Heatherington, Collins. That's not to mention the young core already in the NHL with Murray, Johansen, Jenner and Saad.

I agree that they were a complete garbage franchise up until a few years ago. It all coincides with the hiring of John Davidson to be President of Hockey Operations 3 years ago. Davidson had a six year stint and a very strong track record in the same role with the St. Louis Blues. Davidson hires Jarmo Kekalainen, the first European GM in the NHL, who had a strong player personnel/drafting record. They also hired Bill Zito as Assistant GM, a guy who was a well respect player agent with a strong client list. The Blue Jackets decide to retool, load up on draft picks, make a few shrewd moves and now they're an organization others around the league are envious of.

Drafting well covers up a lot of ineptitude but at the same time, having everyone on the same page and in perfect harmony allows everyone to focus on their jobs. I wish the Browns could hire their version of John Davidson....

I think they play above their talent. We have an incredibly untalented team. Our receivers constantly play above their talent level. Brian Hoyer was playing like a legitimate starter. And a lot of our guys who went other places this offseason are not active on their respective teams.

Listen, I don't think Pettine make undrafted players into pro bowlers. But I definitely think he makes a backup play like a borderline starter. Unfortunately, this season the talent does not seem motivated to play and I can't tell yet if that is Pettine's fault or not.

Pretty sure this is the worst franchise in all 4 major sports. Who is worse? Timberwolves? Knicks? Blue Jackets?

Marlins by a mile... The way that franchise is run should be criminal.

The offense throws with a semi-capable QB under center, and the backup is limited to 15 passing attempts, which shows a willingness to adapt personnel to mask their weaknesses. We were dismantled by the Jets, but considering that was a game where we lost our starting QB in his first drive and had 5 turnovers, that's to be expected.

We had a winning game plan against Tennessee, and we were driving to tie the game in the final minute against Oakland. Again, we aren't a good team. I don't understand how fans who have seen an organization rotate HCs every 2 years and fail to improve seem to think that the solution is to rotate the HC again.

Here's an idea: Talk to your coaching staff, find out what system they want to run and what personnel they need to execute said system at a high level, and then give them the fucking personnel they need to execute said plan. The answer is to stop trying to win a superbowl every year, and finally accept that the team is in rough shape and begin building something with some consistent design.
