LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The fact that this team sucks without Lebron should make him MVP

I just have to say i am amazed that Lebron averages 23.8 / 8.4 / 9.7 on 50%FG and 36% threes while looking almost relaxed, chilled and playing at half of his intensity..
at nearly 32... that is insane...

It's just a pleasure to watch this guy play the game of basketball. I tell my daughter, who is also a big fan of the Cavs and Lebron, to relish this time. It's not often that you get to watch a maestro at work, but we as Cavs and James fans do.

Yep. Browns defensive philosophy was to pack the paint. But once teams started stretching the floor that became outdated.

I'd say his core philosophy was "5 men on a string" - everybody making timely rotations to help each other out. We did pretty darn well on that end given what Mike had to work with personnel-wise.

I think he sold himself short by not asking for more players who knew how to play D as opposed to players he had to try teach to play D.

Shaq+Hickson+Mo was simply never going to be able to defend a top caliber team.

I sort of suspect that if anyone on a playoff team averages a triple double for the season they will get it -- it's something that hasn't been done in 50 years. Don't see Lebron averaging a full triple double, it would be silly to exert himself so much in the regular season just to get the rebounds.

I hope it takes more than just being on a playoff team. The bar has always been best player on one of the best teams, otherwise James deserves a couple more MVPs awarded to him retroactively.

Dude didn't play very well last night. His passes were often off the mark and were getting intercepted by Milwaukee all night. He then allowed some physical play by the Bucks get him into a snit about the referees stiffing him, and stopped giving effort. The rest of the team didn't try to pick him up, instead following his lead. Glad Lue took the lot of them out en masse, but by then the damage was done. Hope he and the rest of them decide to show up for the next game.

This was one of his "mail it in" games. No biggie. Lue did a great job sending the message. Let's hope it was received.

He's the absolute best, in my opinion. The guy is incredibly talented. The LeBron James of athlete profiling, if you will :chuckle:

And here's a link to that Jenkins piece, for those who haven't read it yet.

Amongst other great things, this piece does a marvelous job explaining why Lue and LeBron have a perfect relationship, dissimilar to anything LBJ has had in his pro career. Thanks for sharing!

This team to me is still totally reliant on Lebron. If he plays like ass (like he has the last 2 games, relatively speaking) we are just toast period. If he sits a game it's like an automatic loss.

It's amazing with the payroll we have that we still live or die on LBJ.

Agreed, the good thing is that most of the time it goes both ways, When LeBron plays really well we usually win no matter who the opponent is, we all know LeBron is coasting in the regular season & usually the team is mirroring the way he plays & his energy.
