LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, It's just annoying to see that Giraffe Noguiera be able to stop his penetration.

I mean the dudes a 24 year old 7 footer...there's hardly any film on him either. A key to LBJ's game is matchup history with opponents due to his godly memory for past plays...I wouldn't be using that as a barometer for LBJ's game.

Lebron should burn any 7 footer he faces in my mind. I guess I need to change how I think.
Nogueira is a pretty good player regardless.

Honestly by 2013 Lebron was consistently settling for step back J's against 7 footers. I went through this thought process with him during his Miami days, just time to accept things are a bit different now in terms of his burst. Dude's not supposed to iso up top and take big dudes off the dribble anymore. Let Kyrie do that. Put a small on LBJ and watch him walk his ass down into the paint.

This. We have the main complements in place to get the most out of LBJ's later years. I'd even argue that Irving is a better complement than Wade was in MIA due to his shooting ability alone, at least from an offensive standpoint, which seems to be the main worry when talking about LBJ's inevitable regression.

Even with LBJ potentially moving closer to the basket as he gets older, a 4-5 combo of James and Love would create a ton of mismatches offensively due to their combined B-ball IQ's. You want to talk about good passing "bigs"? Give LBJ and Love an off-season to play off each other in those sets...

I just wish Lebron trusted Love more at the elbow. Please work more of that in this season Lue

With proper rest he can still get to the basket against anyone at critical times in the game, but not consistently. And 110% agree that iso-ing 30 feet from the basket and driving should not be Lebron's game any more. (And maybe he was doing a little too much of it even back in the day).

Even in 2009 in the Orlando series against Dwight Howard, the 2011 Finals against Tyson Chandler, and then in the 2012 and 13 Indiana series against Roy Hibbert you could see that Lebron could have issues with a big talented rim protector if his teammates weren't making jump shots.

It just hit me that LeBron looks and is playing close young Bron. Man he is trim built and is putting up numbers with two big scores with him who were said to be "losers" by national media. How he can change forms is such a gift he has and damn he might not decline as soon as we think.

8/26 lately on threes but is still above his career average(.340) for the season at .349

Yeah it is fairly amazing how athletic he is when you think of the mileage he is carrying. That tells you just how other worldly he USED to be. Even with a decline he was so far ahead of the pack he still looks like an elite athlete.

The man is on his 14th season playing at the highest level for an absurd amount of minutes, carrying teams on his back all along (half the time with scrubs), without never ever having a relevant injury and without ever having a poor or even average season. It's unreal.

He basically never failed in regular season. He hit the ground running from his very first year, and was arguably the best player of the NBA in the regular season from his very 2nd season in the league. On his third year he was clearly the most valuable player, regardless of the number of wins. He's dominated the league for at least 10 years. It's just absurd.

I have the feeling he started to conserve energy in the regular season starting from his last year on Miami on. This leads me to a question: how many MVPs should LeBron really have won? I can say at least 6. He was the best regular season player from his 2nd or 3rd year till his 12th year. 4 MVPs don't do justice to him.

What's your take on this? I'd say 6 MVPs would have been fair.

Nowadays he has to save himself, so he's no longer the best during the regular season. There are guys giving their all having a historical season - Westbrook, Harden, Davis. But if LeBron lost many MVPs due to team record, the pattern must be maintained.

So if Cavs finish with the 2nd best record behind GSW, who will have votes split between Durant and Curry, it would only be fair that LeBron gets it. The League actually owes him a few.

What's your take on this?

Another thing: do you have a list/compilation of LeBron's game winning shots throught his career, both in regular season and playoffs? How does he fare vs Kobe/Jordan, is he actually far behind on this? I'd say yes, because his shooting has always been the sole part of his game that isn't great.

The league has never given votes because they owe a guy. They always will get caught up in the moment. No doubt he deserves more, but I would say he is far more concerned with rings & getting #1 on the all time scoring list.

I wonder how much he really does care about being number one in scoring. If that was really his goal I'd think he would demand more shots or at least not defer as much to Kyrie and Love.
