I agree - like Griff and LeBron said we play our best when nobody gives us a chance.

However, I do think that if we look at it from a rational perspective the Warriors are the big favorites and rightfully so. As good as our offense has been they are capable of the same level + they can defend better than we can at their best. We had to capitalize on every little thing that went right for us last year to pull it off and it will be the same this year.

Our bench this year is better than theirs in my opinion (Deron Korver Shump over Livingston and David Ringchaser) so they have to play like it. Kyrie has to be Kyrie, LeBron has to be aggressive from game 1 (he was pretty poor in the first two games last year - we can't afford to have any 'feel out' games vs this team), and Kevin will have to show that he can be effective vs a team like the Warriors (whether last year's performance was due to the concussion we'll find out).

We have to steal one of the first two games there because if we come back down 2-0 again I think they end it in 5.

I just wrote a reply and it got deleted. Darn. I'll re-write it fast.

The Cavs are on track to have the best offense in NBA playoffs history. Their playoffs NRTG is incredible.

We won the title last year based upon the strength of our offense. And it's better this year than it was last year.

We should definitely be able to compete in the series, although we'll have to see how the actual match up looks beyond just the stats.

The Warriors are the favorites, as they should be. But when your ORTG and NRTG are as good as the Cavs' are right now, beating any team would not be shocking.

Ironically, Draymond Green is the only player on the Warriors I actually like.

What type a shit?
He’s the only real competitor of the bunch. Guy wears his heart on his sleeve and is genuine, unlike the rest of those guys who play up a persona for the media. I still remember last year, he was the only player on that team that took the Finals loss like a man. The rest of them whined and made excuses.

Here's how the Cavs look coming into the Finals. As compared with the best playoff stats in NBA history.

+14.3 NRTG
122.7 ORTG

+13.7 NRTG ---------> 2001 Lakers (best in recorded playoffs history to this point [through The Finals])
119.9 ORTG ---------> 1987 Lakers (best in recorded playoffs history to this point [through The Finals])

+16.3 NRTG ---------> 2017 GSW
118.0 ORTG ---------> 2017 GSW

The Cavs numbers are so good, it's pretty incredible. The Cavs are a juggernaut. The question is are they good enough to beat another juggernaut who seems a bit better than them?

But make no mistake, this isn't David vs Goliath. It's not even close to that. But I hope that people see it that way, particularly the Warriors themselves.

I can't really fathom how this series starts, continues, and ends. Really need to see what we look like out of the gate and then how we respond. But the Warriors still have 4 legitimate all-stars. We might be a bit deeper... but I don't think depth matters as much anymore. That's why whatever our three stars can bring to the table, we'll need all of it. And whatever role guys can step up game to game, will be gravy.

Even though there's been complaints about the lack of competition at the top, attendance records have been set. With big TV market contracts helping sell the league. But there's a legitimate rivalry between the two teams with similar rosters (continuously intense but not one-sided since maybe the 80s).

Well, whatever. We've had so few games to compare the two that nothing else should be said. Just that to expect a war come Thursday.

(p.s. gun-to-the-head, I see Warriors winning in 7... but I god-f#cking-damn hope I'm wrong...)

That's fine. But he throws excessive temper tantrums. Shows up the officials. I don't like officials much, but some of his behavior is pretty awful. I bet they all hate his guts, you'd think. Who wouldn't with that behavior directed at you?

Hell, he's never been shy at pushing his teammates in huddles, and screaming in their face.

Not to mention. He goes out there with the intent to hurt others. Kicking players in the groin? That shit isn't funny, and he laughed it off like a joke.

Kept doing it regardless. He's so unlikable. He can play anywhere, forget GS, and he'd still be a piece of shit.

There's nothing cool about guys trying to injure others. And he has the awful personality to go with it.

He might be their best competitor, but he's also their leading asshole.

I actually might dislike Durant more though. I just don't like him at all. Never really did. Although his behavior isn't as bad.

He's just the definition of hypocritical, very disrespectful, and just extremely self-absorbed.

His ignorance and stupidity probably pisses me off more than anything.

Not only is Durant a coward. Every time he opens his mouth up, he sure sounds pretty damn ignorant.

Durant should just stop talking. He was the same one telling fans to stop going to the games if they don't like what is taking place. He's too stupid to understand he'd be out of a job if they stopped going.

Now, he's talking about "don't blame me" that there's not much parity. Like, wtf? Why are you bringing up Orlando and Brooklyn? We get it, there are shitty teams in the league that have nothing to do with you.

There was one team in the way of GS getting to the finals, and it was the team you previously were on. To play ignorance, just shows how truly delusional and insecure this imbecile is.

God I hope we beat this team. I've never seen a bunch of self-entitled, whiny, and arrogant dick heads.

I love how you just cut through shit, @godfather. It's as refreshing as a summer breeze.

I agree that he's the only real one on that team but he's still a fucking piece of shit.

Warriors coming in cocky and arrogant again. Draymond said they are even more relaxed this year

Durant ain't relaxed. Because he knows if they lose, he will be a laughing-stock.
