Welcome Derrick Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A part of me is hoping Derrick proves to be irrelevant. Because if he plays tonight, we win, and actually shows to be some use against GS.

It's going to make Lue look bad, for waiting until the series is basically over to make an adjustment that actually works.
Hopefully that benign tumor part of you gets cut out and you're on the road to recovery soon... Talent and results over coaching..... #MikeBrownAndLukeWaltonCoachedSteveKerr'sTeamTheLast2Years

No one on this team could have changed the end result. Especially not Derrick Williams.
Honestly though, anybody on this team who wouldn't let Durant step into a 3 being down 2 with 45 seconds in the game would have made a difference.

Brilliant move by Lue waiting until we are down 0-3. Only 4 games left and GS will have no time to adjust. Reverse sweep incoming.

I heard they were talking about the same thing before Game 3 but it never materialized. That's why I'd take what Windy said with a grain of salt. Heard same thing before last game. But Lue has to actually execute the plan, and he tends to stick with his guns. hence RJ & shump.

Turns out Windy was wrong on this again.

The headline was Lue saying "I'm sticking with the guys that got us here". True to form, and IMO a serious flaw in Lue's thought process.

But last night it worked so now I assume we'll sink or swim with the same guys and Derrick Williams is a lock to go elsewhere to someplace where a head coach will at least consider giving him some meaningful minutes.

I don't want to see Derrick Williams get meaningful minutes in this series. Especially not with RJ finding his groove.

The value in Derrick Williams will be next season--especially if we can sign him for cheap. He can replace RJ's role, and give us improved athleticism off the bench. And then, next year's playoffs will be his chance to prove himself. For now, we're stashing him away as a future bench player, I think.

I think Derrick Williams was in the plan to rotate in at some point but the Cavs were rolling and Lue didn't want to mess with that. If you noticed at the end of the game the bench we're running alot more set plays and Derrick got the ball at the top of the key and dished it off to a shooter. This reminded me of what they have been doing with TT, so I assume he was going to come in for TT at center when the warriors went small.

Why on earth would Derrick Williams want to come back to a team and a coach that have zero interest in using him?

He gone.

Because he's an adult, and he knows this is a good place for him. And, I'm certain that if he's in our plans for the future, then we've sat him down and explained this to him.

It's called: communication.

Being petty will get him nothing, and if he stays here then he can have a good second half of his career. Last I checked, teams aren't begging for his services.

Without first seeing if he can contribute? My dream scenario would have been for Derrick to show he's a body to throw on Durant and could score/create/dribble drive as the roll man. Warriors lose control of this series if we find a capable roll man. I know he's a limited player but we now have 4 games of film on their pick and roll defensive scheme.

Nah dude he isnt coming back. How does that feel with all the shit you talked in here after his decent week and a half of games to people who weren't talking shit to you? Woo, man do you look silly through here. Getting so upset and condescending with anyone who dare question Derrick Williams' ability to contribute.

I heard this guy can rebound?
