2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Always one guy who falls into the summer league trap every year.

There is usually more than one guy. Tbh, usually the top performers are not the young lottery draftees, but the seniors, d-leaguers etc..
So far, the lottery picks have been outstanding.

I'm low on Fultz, but I love Donovan Mitchell and Isaac.

Anyone familiar with the NBPA works and can tell us why (especially with iggy and curry as committee members) they would encourage the 2nd best player in the NBA to take Harrison Barnes money?

Who knows? Maybe they know luxury tax issues will eventually blow them up? If KD signs a long-term deal next offseason, Steph and KD will take up nearly 70% of the cap. Green and Thompson are currently on pretty team friendly deals but both can be free agents in 2019. If both if those guys get contacts relative to the market value, GSW will be at or over the tax line with four guys. Throw Iggy and Livingston on and you blow past it.

Basically the only way this team is getting blown up is if the tax bill becomes too rich for Lacob or if some dramatic injury occurs.

I mean we're going to suck, but at least we got some solid vets in there now...

Jking you were one of the few to absolutely nail golden state last year

Do you really believe the Rockets can beat them?
I do with the caveat that I need to see Chris Paul and Harden play together. Ultimately, the Rockets are going to have the same problem we had, which is that while their offense may be good enough to keep up, the Warriors will be much better defensively.

All stats suggest the Cavs had the best playoff offense of all time. IIRC it was three points per 100 possessions better than the next best. But the problem is the Warriors' defense was so good - and our's so bad - that they were able to out-talent the Cavs.

The Rockets will have similar problems; however, CP3, Ariza, Tucker, and Capella are all very good defenders. If they could add one more wing defender and one more big defender then I think Houston has a legitimate shot.

As of now, I still have the Warriors winning in 2018, they just have too much talent, but the Rockets have the best shot at knocking them off.

So ZBO is 35 and still chasing money. Can't blame him lol I would too! As a player I wouldn't leave any money on the table!

And Warriors are trying to add Nick Young or Jamal Crawford. Like how much easier do these dudes want the game to be?

He sucks. Bring back Stein

Well whatever the case.. he just wrote an official article on ESPN.com about 15 minutes ago saying Gordon chooses Boston.

Hayward hasn't yet informed the Jazz he has decided to sign with Boston, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Good stuff, thanks.

How is Capella in the pick and roll defensively? Can he play against the small lineup GSW throws out?
