Whenever this thread is bumped I expect to see LBJ on some kind of inflatable in Mexico with a cast of characters in tow.

Bill Simmons has been declining in both relevance and substance for some time now, but once he became Kevin Durant's mouthpiece (presumably in exchange for multiple podcast "exclusives" and failed TV show appearances), I started losing respect for Simmons.

There was a stretch this season where every article he wrote and every podcast he did had some unnecessary shot at Westbrook's "selfishness". For example, in one article about Chris Paul's legacy following the Clippers playoff exit, Simmons wrote about Westbrook being selfish four different times! Not to mention how he constantly praises Durant for "wanting to play basketball at a higher level" by going to the Warriors, while he excoriated LeBron for choosing to play with Wade in multiple columns and in his book. He even had the gall to say on a recent podcast that Chris Paul forcing his way to the Rockets is "way worse" than the Warriors recruiting Durant all season last year and worse than Durant choosing to go to the Warriors. I stopped listening and unsubscribed from his podcast when he said that.

I didn't know he's a shill now. Such a fall from grace. He should hire Ric Bucher and they can be hacks together.

A new basketball site:

Editors in Chief: Bill Simmons and Ric Bucher
Key contributors: Kurt Helin, Joe Kotoch and Sam The Bullshit Whisperer

Bask in the glory

Lebrons going to take less money? Didn't he say he'll never not be the highest paid guy again?
Isn't Wall under contract in Washington?
Guys like Simmons can say whatever that want because, they have no credibility. He also wants LBJ out of the east so he beloved Celtics can have a chance.

You know what would be the biggest fuck you in pro sports history? LeBron leading the Thunder to a title and beating the Durant-led Warriors in the process.

It would almost be worth him leaving Cleveland for...almost.

Say what u want about Bill Simmons (I find him swarmy and self-indulgent) but his commentary about NBA insiders believing LeBron is playing for the Lakers next year is legit.

Very few people see him re-upping in CLE, and believe he will want to fade to black in LA on a power-team.

So we will see what ultimately happens, but I know I'm of the belief he's gone. We've got next year to Win a title, and then we are onto a new plan centered around Kyrie and our assets.

Except that pretty much all "NBA insiders" have no real access to LeBron nor what his intentions may be in a year.
