Bron is our PG. I really would worry more about replacing Kyrie's scoring than his ability to run the offense. Or try to get an elite perimeter defender. This is our chance to get better defensively - which needs to happen.

Agreed which is why Bledsoe, Melo, and Josh Jackson would be great ...you get two 20+ pt a game scorers and Bledsoe is also a good defender and Josh Jackson should be as well.. Now some may rather get the 1st from Phoenix unprotected which will be a lottery pick instead of Melo and I can certainly see that as well

Any scenario where Melo ends up in Cleveland is a loss dude is not good anymore. Also he would have to play PF and he's not better then KLove at this stage in there careers. Melo is not a fit in Cleveland unless he would accept a 6th man role which he wouldn't want to do...

I'm sorry you guys that are trying to peddle a realmgm article to me... I just dont care.

And I'm sorry that if Kyrie has a problem with the team brining in players better than him after he signed his deal. How dare they?!?!?

He can still score and his spot up 3 point % is pretty good... He could start at PF and Love at C... Cavs go small and TT can always come in vs bigger opponents...He is also a guy that won't fold vs GS and that can get his own shot.. He is still a bona fide 20 pt a game scorer...it just depends on what we are sacrifing to get him

I feel like the news of Kyrie wanting out rejuvenates New Yorks delusion that they can somehow get good value for Melo.

So I wonder about our ability to lure them into a three way deal with Phoenix in which they get none of: Kyrie, Bledsoe, Jackson, or a meaningful pick.

Which means IF we really like Bledsoe(probably) and Jackson(who knows) and favor a deal based around those two+ over any other deal offered, we may need to just deal with Phoenix first, and then hope we can still have a chance at Melo in a separate trade.

THE NERVE of the Cavs for even thinking of bringing back the best player in the NBA in 2014 and ship out guys like Anthony Bennett, Karasev, Dion Waiters, Jarret Jack, Tyler Zeller, and several picks that ended up being in the mid to late 20's

I mean whatever did they think they were trying to do? Win a championship or something? Assholes!

Whatever. I'm not even mad at Kyrie, beyond finding him stupid for wanting to leave a situation in which he gets to shoot, shoot, shoot while playing no defense and getting to the Finals regardless.

Him telling us now allows us to extract the most valur for him. So, yay for us. We can easily be a better team next year with the right deal.

Meanwhile, Kyrie can enjoy the lottery again in New York.

Yes play Melo and KLove up front the defense would b amazing if Kyrie wants out deal him for a replacement PG a great young prospect and pick/picks and let Love get more touches on offense Melo is a terrible fit on this team when you have LBJ at SF and Love at PF how people don't realize this is beyond me. This isn't 2009 Melo is 33 and has long been one of the worst defenders in the NBA. Only reason he's being mentioned is because he's good friends with LeBron but he wants to play with CP3 making LBJ his 2nd choice. Melo makes us worse not better we can't outscore GS and Melo ain't stopping them. If LeBron truly cares about the on court product of this team he's telling them to pass on Melo cause he doesn't help he's a negative player his defense is literally that bad and he doesn't pass/rebound enough to make up for his horrendous defense he's a 33 year old volume scorer who provides negative value every where else.

Yea we already know all those things.
I just dont think melo and bledsoe are the answer even if he get jackson. We arnt beating warriors with bledsoe melo lebron and love

You know what, I really think we would have a very good shot. No Joke.

I don't disagree at all...probably best way to go

Kyrie did not abruptly want out because LeBron *might* leave next year. That isn't plausible. No guy is gonna leave a championship contender because the team might not be a championship contender later down the line.

You're saying he is worried about not being on a contender but wants to go to the Knicks, Heat, etc.? That doesn't make any sense.

You need to work on your paraphrasing

Yes, I think it's more plausible that the guy that thinks the Earth is flat wants to be traded because he is worried that the team that is built around Lebron is going to suck for years to come if Lebron leaves (don't fool yourself in thinking that there isn't a good chance that he will since he's already done it twice now) rather than an overheard rumor that Lebron went to the owner about a trade that the owner then went to the GM about and after the GM refused to make the trade, the owner that is known for meddling didn't go ahead and make the trade and allowed the GM to leak the info on the way out the door. Yeah, I'll stick with the Real GM article being the most likely truth.

To me it just matters what we're giving up for him if it's Phoenix's lottery pick then no if it's some filler from us then I definitely take him...22 ppg and 37% from 3 isn't bad... He would get more open looks than he ever has...

Knicks would have traded him already if alls it took was fillers let Rockets get him so I can see D'Antoni quit his job again and so my rockets friend cries when CP3 Harden and Melo lose round 1 of the playoffs. Melo in no way shape or form helps a team unless he accepts the role of bench scorer

Here is a question. Would the Knicks be willing to eat Shumperts contract for a year if it means they get Thon Maker?

That salary dump deal weve talked about, only with Thon Maker and Cedi Osman included. It would however mean they, not the 3rd team, would take Shumpert.

I'm cooking up some scenarios with the Knicks and Bucks.

Think the Bucks offer just as much potential as the suns in a 3 team deal with us and the Knicks.
