Now I just don't want to change it because I feel pretty good about our chances to win a WS over the next 4 years and I don't want people jumping up and down saying it was always the curse of Chief Wahoo keeping us down

And people will do that
 
As someone who hasn't been arguing in this thread for 18 months I find it quite interesting, after having gone through the entire thread tonight, how the tenor of the debate changed once Trump was elected.

It says a great deal about many things. @gourimoko @The Oi

My personal opinion: Chief's days are numbered. I have harbored much residual affection for him thanks to my teenage years when the Tribe were dominant in the late 90s. I forsook them in 2002 when they blew that team up one game out of 1st place due to the parsimony of those piece of shit Dolans.

People are to sensitive these days... who fucking cares. We want a one world Order or do not want one. Make up your minds already, (I am talking in general). Life moves on the past does not.
 
We may have seen the Chief on our uniforms for the last time last night. Wouldn't be surprised if we quietly removed him from the sleeves and wore the block C hat every game.
 
I remain convinced that part of the Indians getting the 2019 ASG was ownership agreeing to dump Wahoo.
 
Very interesting to me that we're still debating the merits of having racist iconography in sports. Fandom and nostalgia have to be some of the strongest opponents to logic.

Hopefully Wahoo is gone, though, because this team is fucking cursed and maybe that is part of it. Fuck, demolish the stadium for all I care and build a new one. Make Mexico pay for it or whatever. New unis, new logo, new team name, new stadium.
 
For the first time in my life, I'm okay with it going away. The whole issue is overblown and stupid, but, we need a fresh start.

Of course this is a circular conversation... but I haven't dropped in for a while. Still genuinely shocked at some of the things typed within this here thread.

Doesn't change the fact that this is stupid. 60 pages of the same shit. I wasn't trying to contribute, that's the difference. Suppose it's necessary to have this thread though, so this Chief Wahoo bullshit doesn't leak into game threads and others, so carry on with the, as you called it, circular conversation.

Wahoo will be on the rings next year.

Have to assume that the more time goes by with this being a "topic" in people's heads, the more a certain realization will occur. Maybe not. I think it's an important subject regardless of how circular it may be at any given time. Also, new people have joined the board since this thread has been opened (probably).
