2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I seriously hate even any discussion of MVP talk so early in the season anyways.

We are not even a quarter of the season in.

Boston is NOT going to end up with the best record, and Kyrie will not have the impact of an MVP caliber.

I like Kyrie as a player, just thinking he's an MVP caliber player is absurd.

Your opinion, you are entitled to it. NBA writers think he is in the ladder, and fans of other teams chanting MVP when he is not in the Garden can't be happenstance...We knew this kid for awhile now; if anything, he gets better in the postseason.

Man, wouldn't it be crazy if he got on an all-defensive team? Him!? I felt crazy even saying that shit.....

The only people pushing the kyrie for MVP talk are the major LeBron haters. In no universe has he been the MVP this season.

His defensive numbers even with all of the Celtic ass covering the entire team does for him are literally average. Not good. not great. Barely average.

He will never make an all defensive tean. You're literally trolling at this point.

You know what I realized watching this game? Josh Jackson RIGHT NOW is basically Jeff Green RIGHT NOW.

Josh has shown more quickness than Jeff ever did, and his athleticism will give him a higher ceiling than Jeff did. But for what they are at this moment, and how they impact the game, that's who he is.

Harden makes me puke. If anything he's the MVP...

Fresh off of 19/19 from the charity stripe, now he's 17/17 And still trying while up 30.

Yeah, I'm a Harden hater, dude can shoot 8-25 and still score 45.

I mean... he's getting fouled.

Half of the time. Be a realist at least.

I'd say it's probably closer to 80%, but I understand why people don't want to acknowledge it. He seeks out contact. He's like IT, in that regard. He's very good at putting the defense off balance and he takes advantage of it.

In the playoffs, when the refs tend to let more go, and teams can gameplan not to foul (look at how the Spurs defended him with everyone keeping their arms up at all times), it doesn't get the calls. Because he's not drawing contact and teams are more locked in.

I need to see IT get the same calls here for me to believe that one because IT was a late bloomer, his FT attempts doubled with Boston.

They almost doubled from his time in Phoenix to last year, but I don't know how much of that is him going from the third point guard to the guy who has the ball in his hands at all times.

I doubt he averages the same number of free throws attempts as last year because he will go back to being the secondary option. Plus, that year last year is looking like it might be an outlier for him re: FTA per game
