Waiting for someone to offer a better player currently on the roster to start at center right now.

Its easy to complain about, but offer a solution. And if you say start Ante Zizic, slap yourself.

I am starting to think start Green at the 4 over Crowder. Gain a bit of length and athletic and gain offense right now.

Not sure who to start at Center besides love right now, but if i was going to make a move it would be swap Green for Crowder.

Honestly, Jeff Green has been so good in his role I’d be afraid to change it. TT will start when he comes back. I’d keep things the same until the injured guys are back and try to rack up as many wins as possible since we seem to be getting into a groove.

Festus Ezeli is a free agent right? He doesn't have to play tons of minutes, he just needs to protect the rim and keep Love fresh until the playoffs. I hate TT being the starting center, but he thrives well as a second unit bigman. The TT-Green lead bench squad is a luxury to have.

EDIT:
Just found out Ezeli is injured.

Yeah he might not be able to play again. I wish we’d bring back Larry Sanders. Give him an entire year to get into game shape. Would be better than calderons useless body wasting a roster spot.

Or hell even Derrick Williams. we could run a super small ball athletic wing lineup with green,Williams, Lebron, jr and Shump.

That was the Cavs go-to lineup against other teams best lineups. It unleashed playoff LBJ at the 4 which is one of the deadliest things in the NBA. It works very well overall , and not just in spurts.

As for the regular season, I do somewhat agree. The constant effort isn’t there and you play a lot more teams with traditional bigs. You don’t want to have Love hobbled by March. I think TT will start, and come back around the same time IT does. That starting lineup should work well all the way up to the Finals. I would personally change things up in the Finals and never play TT and Love together, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.

So in that case would it be Crowder coming off the bench?

I wish I could give this post five winners. Playing Love at the five is still probably the best overall lineup the Cavs have (at least when it really matters if not for the regular season) because it puts LeBron at the four with maximum shooting without compromising much rebounding. And sure the Cavs would benefit from some Deandre type playing center, but that played doesn't exist on the Cavs. It's so lazy to say start Zizic as if he's the second coming of Dikemebe Mutombo.

Another strong game against one of the better traditional bigs in the league.

Why in the world would they start TT. So over the Tristan as a starting center nonsense. One year wonder doing that.

Honestly....to try and make sure Love doesnt get hurt over an 82 game season banging with centers. Not like the starting line-up is killing it at the moment anyways,

If Tristan can bang Khloe, then he can definitely bang with the NBA centers. (Why do i have a feeling i will get a private message from the admins asking me to watch my mouth ?)

I actually think Crowder would be more comfortable with the 2nd unit anyway.

@fan0283

All numbers off of WOWY—I just verified.
Something is wrong with the love at 5 in the finals stats. What filters did you use? Because there's isn't actually any Kevin love at center filter, did you use a (+Love-Thompson-Frye) filter?

Problem is we didn't have a single 70 minute stretch of posting a 98.5 DRTG. It doesn't add up mathematically when we finished that series with a 117.5DRTG over 240 mins. We would have had to be posting close to 130drtg when he wasn't playing center in the remaining 170mins for that to add up.

Crunched the stats a while back on nbawowy and discovered Our DRTG in the finals with Love was 119.5 and 113.9 when he was off. You may need to send me a direct link to your stats on nbawowy. The site has been glitching the past 2 days so I'd get if you couldn't send them till it was back running smoothly

For now I'd suggest you used the exact lineup data on the nba.com/stats link I posted. You get to see the actual lineups and their offrtg, defrtg and netrtg.

People acting like 2015 Mozgov was Hakeem is funny to me. Don't take my word though, I'm bad at jokes.
