LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wow. That's insane

Yep. Even more insane considering that sometime in the second round of the playoffs, he'll become the alltime leader in playoff minutes played. Trails Duncan by just 240 minutes in that category.

Now guys like Wilt and Russell played 45-48 mpg but that was a different era and they had few peers physically to wear them down

Lebron wants to play 35 plus minutes. At some point everyone needs to accept this.
He’s an athletic genetic freak of nature.

He is still just a human...he can play every night 35 minutes, the question is what will come around in the playoffs... 32 minutes would be enough i think. In Blowouts 25+.

LeBrons jumper is probably the best I’ve ever seeen it at the moment. Money in the bank. He’s saving a lot of energy out there by knocking down outside shots. And it make him even more unguardable and opens up his off-ball backdoor cuts more than ever, because they have to respect his shot(plus having Love and Wade finding him going to the rim is a thing of beauty).

His shooting numbers are literally insane at the moment.

Is it possible that if we win this year, that LBJ retires?

Beats the most talented team ever...twice. Does it a 2nd time without Kyrie.

And then finishes looking better than ever.

Does he consider it?

It'd be a hell of a way to go out but I think LeBron wants the pride that comes with signing the largest contract in history, not to mention I think he still harbors some hope of breaking Kareem's record.

Winning a title, retaining LeBron and drafting a stud with the pick would be about as fairy tale a denouement as you could hope for this season.

Lebron is shooting 58/41/78 right now, which is just crazy and unreal (well, the FT% not so much but it is still at a career high level for him, as are all the other numbers). Especially crazy when you consider he's the main focus of the defense and the highest usage player. We are lucky to have someone who is so obsessed with improving his game.

I don't see Lebron quitting after this year no matter what. He just enjoys the game too much and he's not even 35 yet. He knows that no matter what else he does or how high he rises in his life, he'll never again be able to do anything as fun as playing b-ball at the highest level, making NBA history in front of 30,000 screaming fans every night. I mean, could there possibly be a desk job as much fun as that?

I suspect he wants to set some more career records too...passing Kareem would be nice.

This should also be Lebron's 14th consecutive year averaging 25+ PPG, compare MJ and Karl Malone at 11 years, Wilt and Kareem at 9.

Yes it's a somewhat artificial line, MJ had seven straight years averaging 30+ PPG and Lebron has only done that twice in his whole career. But still an astounding testimony to his durability and consistency.

Would be a helluva way to go out, but it's hard for these guys to leave the limelight and the sheer amount of money he would be walking away from is probably hard to do, no matter how rich you are.

That's true. He'd be walking away from almost 1/4 billion.

That's a nice down payment to Dan for the Cavs...

LeBron owning the Cavs is a nice idea until you realize he's notoriously cheap and wouldn't shovel out a fraction of the money that Dan has to win.
