LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would be a helluva way to go out, but it's hard for these guys to leave the limelight and the sheer amount of money he would be walking away from is probably hard to do, no matter how rich you are.

Especially for a guy who wants to own a team....he’s definitely getting that 240 million or whatever it is.

If he plays til 40 he could end up making well over 300 million more dollars in salary.

I don’t think he’ll hang on for too long at the end of the end is obvious, but if he’s still an impactful player even at 37-38, which I think he will be, I could see him hanging on an extra year or two if Bronny does end up being good enough to make it on the league. I think he’d love to play one year either with or against his son.

And he’s still the best player in the NBA, and will be for, IMO, at least 2 more seasons after this year.

He’s also got a looooot of stats to rack up and records to break. I dunno if he gets to Kareem but I do think he’s going to definitely find a way to at least pass Michael. Honestly I see no reason Bron can’t move to the 4 full time when he’s like 39 and still be averaging like 22 efficient points a game.

Injuries will be key. Will he be forever superhuman? Will his back eventually betray him? we’ll see.

LeBron owning the Cavs is a nice idea until you realize he's notoriously cheap and wouldn't shovel out a fraction of the money that Dan has to win.
Meh...almost ALL rich men are notoriously cheap with their personal finances.

Personal finance tells you nothing about a business owner's penchant for spending to improve their potential outcome.

LeBron won't own 100% of a team. I think in an ideal world, he has a rough 50/50 split with someone who's willing to spend, like Dan.

LeBrons jumper is probably the best I’ve ever seeen it at the moment. Money in the bank. He’s saving a lot of energy out there by knocking down outside shots. And it make him even more unguardable and opens up his off-ball backdoor cuts more than ever, because they have to respect his shot(plus having Love and Wade finding him going to the rim is a thing of beauty).

His shooting numbers are literally insane at the moment.
It's clear that Kyrie was inhibiting Lebron's growth as a player. Now that Lebron is out from under Kyrie's "shadow" maybe he can reach his full potential.

:chuckle:

LeBron’s efficiency could be even higher if he quit taking a few of those heat-check/LeFuck you jumpers. They are advisable, at times, and it’s great when they’re falling. there’s little to no fat left to cut in his game. He’s the closest thing to a perfect player you’re gonna see on the offensive end.

I wish we had even a glimpse into the proprietary analytics that teams have. PER is good as a crude general tool but that’s about it. I remember Griff saying their numbers have LeBron being head and shoulders above everyone else in the NBA, even the other elite guys.

LeBron is averaging 10.5 FGM per 36 min; has a Reb% of 11.0; a Blk% of 2.5; and an eFG% of .600.

Nobody has ever put up those numbers over the course of an entire season.

That is insane to think about. How is he not athletically dead yet. Any other player with those kind of miles on him (including playoffs) would have long been reduced to dust by now.
Also add in the fact that he has gotten the living shit fouled out of him his entire career.

Insane

LeBron will definitely pass MJ. He will do so by the end of next year if he continues at a 25ppg pace. He will end up at 3rd all time scoring. He should pass Kobe in his 17th season.

I didn't think before last year that he could get to Kareem, but with the improved shooting and seemingly adding more ways to score the ball as he ages, I think he does it. He said about 9100 points behind right now, and should be about 7500 behind by the end of the year if he keeps up this pace. If he actually plays to 38 he will surely get it so long as he can put up another two 25 ppg seasons after this year.

What would truly out of this world would be 40k points, 10k assists, 10k tebounds.

Waiting for a single comment on 18 straight points in a roughly 3 min span in the last 5 mins of the game.. 23 points on the 4th quarter, 2nd most of his career.. 10 years after Detroit.

Don't take it for granted.

Teams go small to create spacing but damn it like a layup to the rim for a guy like Lebron now. Compare that to the Detroit game where he hit a bunch of jumpers**

One advantage to having Love at C as well (teams who have done a good job on him typically have had an elite wing defender combined with a shotblocker and teams are either going away from that or Love just pulls the shotblocker out of the lane)

**He is absolutely money from that pullup 3 from the left wing though. Who would have thought that Lebron's signature offensive move would become a 3

No way lebron is even thinking about retirement...too much money...too much pride.

He knows its unlikely he catches jordan in rings ( as the leader of the team anyway) but he knows its unlikely anyone will ever have the type of career he is having. He is still in the MVP race at his age and minutes and still destroying the league.. he will hunt down kareema scoring record, finish extremely high in rebounds and assists and own just about every playoff record.

Make no mistake , he will take the fight up to MJ in the end and only the the blindly ingnorant will say any different

How did he only play 33 minutes when he played the whole fourth?

He got smacked in the face and his lip got cut early in the third quarter. Lots of blood, took from about 11 mins to 4 mins in the third to stitch him up. It actually ended up being a good thing. He was spry as hell to end the game.
