Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thompson's main calling card -- rebounding, specifically offensive rebounding -- has been on a slide since the 2015-16 championship season.

ORB%
'14-'15: 14.5%
'15-'16: 13.5%
'16-'17: 13.9%
'17-'18: 10.3%

DRB%
'14-'15: 19.7%
'15-'16: 23.3%
'16-'17: 19.6%
'17-'18: 19.3%

TRB%
'14-'15: 17.2%
'15-'16: 18.4%
'16-'17: 16.9%
'17-'18: 15.0%

A few percentage points either way is a pretty significant shift. We all know Thompson can't score unless it's a lob and his defense has slightly declined the past two years as well. The Cavaliers are a net -6.5 per 100 with him on the floor, and advanced stats say his only calling card, rebounding, is trending down as well.

Need to move him in my opinion, especially with the money he's making. If this team is going to try to fit in a non-shooting center into a perimeter oriented team, he needs to be a rim protector and an elite rebounder (DeAndre Jordan). Thompson is not.

Dude's got no legs. He needs a crazy amount of time to gather to finish at the rim and he's not explosive at all going for boards. The mini Rodman like player he once seemed to be trying to emulate seems a distant past. Now he's just a player who messes up the floor spacing.

Either he gets better with more conditioning or his minutes are going to have to be cut.

Salary dump his ass to OKC with the Brooklyn pick the second PG shows signs of wavering imo. He's outlived his usefulness on this team. Plus he has the ever present smell of Kardashian taint on him which is probably terrible for locker room chemistry.

Kardashian taint... nice double entendre.

No way in hell would OKC take him. Have to find a 3rd teams. I'm calling Chicago.

He's as good as gone.

The organisation most likely just trying to get the best deal possible for him.

He looks like he's done as an impact player. Again with the Kardashian curse. He's got none of that passion or energy we used to see. I do hope they can find some team that thinks they can get him back to that point with his career.

Joe Rogan explains the Kardashian curse. It's brilliant. Watch it until the end.

He explains his theory on how one of the best Olympic athletes of all time was convinced to become a woman by the Kardashian "demons" lol

We are stuck with him cuz LeBron says so. We could wheel and deal but that would upset the King.

Goodbye TT

Lue is seemingly planning to play Crowder at 2 to cover for ITs defensive weaknesses to roll out a line-up of IT - Crowder - LeBron - Love - DAJ and have JR (he can't guard a chair anymore, him and IT together on the court + Love at C would lead to perhaps the worst defensive line-up in the entire league) come off the bench

Wade - JR - Korver - Green is by far the best bench in the league

I've explained it before on this thread -- TT's contract is going to make him really hard to trade. The contracts for TT and JR are not looking good right about now. We'd better hope that how TT looks now is just because he's coming back from injury and really isn't in good form yet.
