Although he’s a professional athlete, James didn’t have a problem with the stunt.
“I got a kick out of it. I can’t even sit here and say that I didn’t. You know how you see some shit and you’re like, ‘That’s not really happening, right?’ And it’s so bad that it’s laughable. So when I seen the video at Browns Stadium, I was more like, ‘I cannot believe this is actually happening.’ And it actually happened.”
James believes the Cavs’ championship in 2016 and the real parade that drew more than 1 million fans into the city’s downtown streets made what happened Saturday a little more plausible. He even compared the Browns’ parade to the movie spoofs that have become popular in Hollywood.
“Our fans have seen a true parade,” James said. “You know what that reminded me of? Hollywood makes these movies, right? So think of ‘Scream.’ And then another group of people make ‘Scary Movie,’ which is the spoof of ‘Scream.’ That’s exactly what this is. That was the spoof of our parade. It made fun of the actual thing. It’s not like they were targeting us as the Cavs, but that’s what happens. It’s like a Hollywood thing. I love ‘Scream’ and I love ‘Scary Movie.’ ”
LeBron actually gets it. Proud of him.
Bills Mafia putting on a clinic for a great fan base this weekend, after years of being terrible.
How’d the Browns fan base do PR wise this weekend?

Excellent, actually. The national sentiment in response to the parade was one of empathy and respect that we're still so viciously loyal to a team that has done nothing but kick dirt in our face for the better part of 2 decades but demand a change.
The prevailing outsider opinion was very positive this weekend. I'm actually somewhat surprised; I was in the camp saying fuck what they say, we can do whatever we want to relieve frustration. Turns out we could get our cake and eat it too.
I don’t think the situations are all that comparable and you’re making way too big of a deal over this.Bills Mafia putting on a clinic for a great fan base this weekend, after years of being terrible.

Jumping on tables, lighting themselves on fire and fighting Jags fans is good PR for a fan base?

That’s good fun, they filled up half of the stadium in jacksonville and raised a shit ton for Dalton’s charity.
Good stuff, fans like that deserve a winner.
I'd argue that any team in a similar position would have done something just as nice. Ya know, like buying Ryan Merritt everything on his wedding registry. No doubt in my mind that people would be in tears of joy willing to thank everyone in sight had the Browns just made the effing playoffs. It had been 17 years for the Bills.
Even though it's unseasonably cold in FLA, who wouldn't want to leave fucking Buffalo in January to take a weekend road trip down south for a playoff game? I'd much rather do that than march around a stadium on the lake in sub zero weather.Everybody who comes to play the Jags fills up half the stadium in Jacksonville.
