2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Stafford improved every year and finished above 60% at 61.4 his final year. Allen was 56% both years he played.

Bledsoe proves my point, career 57% in the NFL, that wont cut it today. Besides i believe he lost his starting job to a 6th round pick.

I personally dont like Allen, i dont debate you allot on this stuff, you do know your stuff, but its very difficult to come up with a successful QB in the NFL who never completed over 60% at least one year in college.

Bledsoe is a four time Pro Bowler and went to a Super Bowl.

NFL is a bit different now, but that arm is going to play in any era.

Derek Anderson, Weeden, both strong armed QB's with accuracy issues at the NFL level.

I dont think Bledsoe is a pro bowler in the NFL today.

But even given Bledsoe, only example so far, and he was never accurate in the NFL.

I just have a huge issue with Josh Allen's lack of production. The big arm intrigues me, but not before the 3rd round and he will be drafted in the 1st round by someone.

Brandon Weeden had a near 70 percent completion percentage at OSU.

The lack of production is absolutely a concern, but not many other QBs have what he has.

Different kind of prospect, one where you don’t necessarily rely on what he’s done, but what he can do.

His prospect status should reflect that, but it’s something to consider.

Like i said, i wouldnt touch a prospect like him in the first 2 rounds. Just the total lack of production scares me. But if he does put it together you cant teach that arm, just the chances are so low he puts it together based on past history.

I hear you.

That's a risk few teams could take. Like I was saying before, a team like New England, Pittsburgh, LAC.

They'd be wise to draft and stash.

But Top 15 pressure on a guy like him is a recipe for disaster.

How is Allen different than Paxton Lynch? Does anyone think Lynch will ever be a top 15 starter?

Don't we already have our own version of Allen in Kizer? Only Kizer has a year's worth of hard knocks already behind him.

No way I'd want the toolsy developmental prospect over the more polished choices we have available.

Paxton Lynch is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I don't even know that Lynch will ever be a Top 32 starter.

Maybe Allen is the same way which would explain why he hasn't improved a ton year over year but I don't get that impression.

Hello pot, there’s someone I’d like you to meet...

That's cool, I'm not expecting you to take my word for anything (especially with a Rosen avatar), I'm just sharing my thoughts.

I've read and listened to an absolute ton of Rosen and I feel like I have his personality pretty pegged because I've known people EXACTLY like the guy he comes across as. If he has a strong opposition to the Browns, he's going to come right out and say it. I'd be stunned if he bit his tongue.

Well, if you’ve known guys like him that changes everything

Question, even if we don't draft him, how do y'all see Mayfield doing at the next level? I'm slowly getting more comfortable with Rosen and will obviously still back whoever they pick ...with the hopes that our scouts know alittle more than us..but just curious how everyone predicts what he'll do. Flame out like Manziel...career backup..average Starter, top 15..etc.

Who is comparing Josh Allen and Paxton Lynch? What overlap in skills would lead you to that comparison?

Allen is cut more in the mold of someone like Big Ben......great size and mobility with a big arm.

I don't love Allen but he does have tantalizing measurables.

Wentz didn't exactly overpower his smaller school foes and 24 months later was an MVP candidate.

You have to evaluate his profile and potential and think about what he can be 2-3 years from now.
