Do you think he might struggle to rebound similar to Porzingis in terms of maintaining rebounding position, having high center of gravity and generally getting pushed around? I'm really impressed by his rebounding ability and how he just rebounds over people routinely, but then I look at Porzingis and the fact that they have similar build in terms limbs length(high center of gravity) and leg girth(Bamba's has a much much wider upper body and much higher level of muscle fibres) and his struggles to rebound the ball so that kinda makes me wonder how it's going to translate. Really too bad that we don't have Porzingis College numbers to compare.
Another thing with Bamba is that I don't love his transition defence. Doesn't hustle getting back, always on the same speed as far as running goes. Have you ever seen him sprint?
Also, I know that you really can't screen properly in college, but i'd like him to show better screening. He doesn't have good angles, doesn't roll well enough still after a screen and is too upright and that makes him a much smaller as a screener and as a result really lowers Texas PnR game ceiling.
Like when I look at Jackson you see him stick his legs and body a bit when he screens, he leans and bends, he sets more off-ball screens and generally understands the game on a much higher level. The fact he does all the little things and comes from MSU really makes me hopeful that he is going to be impactful in the first year and do the little things that Draymond Green does, but on a much higher level.
I know that that refs are too whistle happy in College, but despite Jaren Jackson's foul problems he still does it much better.
