Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

DNP-CD for Lopez is disgusting. I wish them nothing but the worst right now.

Cuban opened the doors for other team to blatantly tank. They are just not afraid the repercussions right now.
Teams should be penalized for openly tanking. Take away a percentage of their ping pong balls or something. As well as the Mavs.

Yeah, it sucks, but you can't have the league dictating which players should play and which shouldn't. Let's say they come down with a fine for this. OK, where is the line drawn? If the Bulls do play guys like Lopez and Holiday, and the game is competitive, but they leave their best players on the bench in the fourth quarter and proceed to lose... do they get fined?

Or what happens if that same scenario plays out and they win? They were clearly not trying to win, since their best players were on the bench. Do they get fined then? It's just too much of a gray area.

What if you were prevented from having an opportunity of consecutive top 3 (4/5?) chances? If nothing happens to this, I expect Cavs post LeBron to go full Philadelphia on the NBA...

But I was told this could never happen! Check the CBA! The Spurs obviously just need to petition for an independent doctor to tell the league and Kawhi that he’s fine, and then force him to play or suspend him! Easy peasy, right? A player definitely can’t disagree with multiple team doctors and refuse to play....right?

Unfortunately pain is subjective.

well, there's a difference in that Kawhi Leonard is actually coming back from a real injury and rightly concerned about his future, not fishing for a transparent excuse to sit out and not play. Also, the Spurs need to maintain their relationship with him and won't go after his salary.

The reason people don't fake injuries and refuse to play is because of the impact on their reputation, not because it's impossible. I mean, no one can hold a gun to your head and make you play.

The worst thing is, Bkn would overcome them all if they owned the pick. Some sportsmanship would be nice :chuckle:

I saw something about the last 2 seeds could be a play in seed, it can eliminate tanking and spice some things up. I can't imagine it happening officially, but would welcome anything to get lesser teams trying harder.

The Nets are on YES with the brand new backcourt of Dinwiddie and Russell
