Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The problem i see with this team as well as the past few seasons...they simply do not string a lot of hits together...there’s a lot of dead spots in the lineup...Brantley should help but I think ownership missed the boat this season. We will surely lose Miller and Allen in the off season and i think these past 3 seasons were are window...should’ve gone for broke to get one before it collapses

We were up 3-1 in the World Series with home field advantage. I'm not sure what else management could have done. At some point, the players just have to make it happen.

I agree we have lineup holes but that is largely from two things IMO.....1. Brantley being constantly injured and 2. not having someone from the AAA / AA system break out at the plate and supplant one of the sub par players we have stuck in the rotation.....especially behind the plate and in the outfield. Those two things have had a compounding effect on the offense.

We have been really active at the deadline in prior years, so I would suspect we will be again this year. Just gotta be patient and see what happens.

Judging by bboy's recent posts, idk if he realizes how big of a factor the trade deadline/waiver deadline played into the Tribe's cards.

Holes will be cleaned up and leveled in due time. There was already a report from Bastian that ownership will be paying attention to fan support more than ever, I hate repeating this. The Dolanz won't let this team die as constructed, we will be BUYERS once again. Let's not forget we outbid the Yankees for Bruce, that's a proud moment of mine. We'll find another rental, I don't blame the Dolanz for not getting married to players, our attendance is bottom tier. If we sold out and was in top 10, then I'd be like WTF dude's.

We need better attendance at the end of day to help fund this team in a sense, but at the same time, they did put up ticket prices for this season, which means someone who is a college kid living in a different state, makes it too expensive for me to go with my friends now. I have always tried to make games, but with my budget being so limited and tickets prices higher, it makes going an after thought sadly.

Aren't bleacher and standing room tickets still dirt cheap? I think they're between 10-17 bucks a game (17 being the max for like July series against a good opponent).

I know my season tickets didn't go up that much.

They didn't give any before the season discounts to non-season ticket holders like they did the last few years. Any game with promotions like jerseys and whatnot were already 30-40 bucks if not more for bleacher seats as soon as tickets went on sale. I would buy them the first week since all the games were the same prices and pick like 6 games or so and then that was it for the season. Now its like I can pick two-three games at most on the same budget. I live 3-4 hours away now so its like no use of me going if I am not getting a promotional item ya know?

So are we going to have to get used to one-run games for the entire season? 7 games played and 5 of those are one-run games already and we are 2-3 in those games.

That ball Alonso hit would have been about 10 rows deep in July.

Greg Allen > Naquin
Greg Allen > Lindor leading off

In all sincerity it's time to stop with the excuses and support the team

You and you alone are what is keeping us from inking the Lindor extension.

Nothing anyone does is going to make them shell out a 250 million dollar contract IMO

Don't agree. You are correct in that ticket sales won't pay for that extension alone, but you better believe Dolan's decision will be impacted by how much fan support they can count on.

No offense I am not missing a weeks worth of meals so I can hit one game. (Food allergies suck when it comes to keeping a low budget. I don’t have a choice but to spend 400+ dollars a month on groceries since I don’t have time to make everything from scratch) I was gonna buy tickets until I noticed they already had the promotional nights all jacked up in price.

I do what I can to support the team but having to pay back a college degree and having to get a new car takes away a lot of the spending money I had the last few years.
