Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Bernie is a cool dude and loves discussing the Tribe

Bernie is a good follow, although I disagree with this take. Kipnis in LF would be far worse than Kipnis at 2B. If Kip hits like he has in his best years, you will happily live with what he gives you on defense.

Kipnis actually isnt all that bad at 2nd base at the end of the day anyways. He doesn't have an amazing range over there, but he isn't one who makes a ton of errors either. He just got spoiled watching Ramirez at 2nd since he is above average at 2B, SS, and 3B defensively.

I feel like Kipnis as a regular in the outfield would be a disaster. If he gets back to hitting the way he did in 2013 and 2015-16, then you put up with his adequate defense at second base.

I just looked it up and saw that Yandy Diaz saw a bit of time in the corner OF spots last year while in Columbus, and had similar range factors to Lonnie Chisenhall. Wouldn't mind experimenting with him out there to start the year just to get his bat in the lineup since our OF depth is going to be very shallow anyways.

Yandy had a rough experience in the OF. Pretty sure they've put that experiment on hold. He didn't play an inning there this spring.

Diaz is overall a good athlete, but he isn't actually that strong in the OF at the end of the day. If he was strong in the OF, he would have been playing there this spring and since he wasn't that means they have canned moving him from 3rd base.

Updated the OP. Looks like Naquin or going with an 8th RP.

I have a hunch we are going Refsnyder with the last spot until Guyer is healthy if Brantley is healthy.

I am pretty sure Naquin they will want to get everyday at bats and not sit on the bench if Brantley is able to play. Now if Brantley cannot play Naquin has his spot. That’s just what I am personally thinking

538 gives the Indians the best chance of making the playoffs, by far the best chance to win a division, and tied best chance to win the WS.

I apologize for being late to the party, but when did we get Rajai Davis back?
