Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think it's fairly obvious.

I don't. There are red flags. One example is how often he goes for negative yards. Another is his low average YPC when he needs to gain hard-fought, inside the tackles, yards. Also, what about the lack of 100-yard games?

Most, including I, thought Trent Richardson was fairly obvious. What does it mean to be obvious?

ob·vi·ous
ˈäbvēəs/
adjective
  1. easily perceived or understood; clear, self-evident, or apparent.

Did everyone watch the Rich Eisen show with Josh Allen's personal QB coach on it.

Glowing reviews.

What do you expect? Have you ever seen Palmer talk about Darnold? Glowing reviews. You are worse than the media. Putting out only the facts that support your agenda. And that agenda is Allen. I am going to be like a fly on rice and talking shit if Allen goes #1. I hope Allen doesn't go #1, but it would be fun to ruin your decade.

What is so obvious to you? I just put-out red flags. What quells the uncertainty with those? Can you say why you want Barkley, other than "it's obvious"?

Nobody that has been following this for a long time thinks anything talking heads say proves anything of substance, so stop with the Rich Eisen Show and the "talking heads." :chuckle:

In your opinion, it could be true. I like how one minute you try and use the talking heads and media to your advantage, until you find it useful not to. So how are you judging talent? The old eyeball or watching film? LMFAO!!!!!!

Watch the Rich Eisen show with Palmer on it.

I watched it. But what was interesting was what they didn't say. They said the ball goes where he wants it to go. Okay...then why all the incompletions? Why all the bad throws where he missed his received by miles? I thought the Weeden comparison they made in terms of arm strength/quick release was interesting. Weeden also had a cannon, and the ball went where he wanted it to go. Yet...he was inaccurate in terms of actually hitting his receivers. Why? And why shouldn't we worry about the exact same thing with Allen?

And yes, I'm well aware that receivers can drop passes, but there are a lot of bad passes by Allen (and by Weeden, for that matter) that weren't legitimate drops by receivers. But they didn't discuss that at all. We just got a vague reference by Dilfer that there were "legitimate concerns" about Allen on tape. But there was zero discussions about what those concerns were, and it stuck out like a sore thumb. So in fairness, that interview really wasn't an overall evaluation of Allen as a QB. It was a discussion of just his strengths as QB.

That was pretty good and they are doing polls and websites. It suprised me. Plus all the talking heads on TV are gravitating to it also. I think part of that is that they are jumping on the bandwagon. I don't know if they necessarily believe it. Same with draft gurus, most are saying it also. Some are still holding out. I personally have no idea who is going #1. I think Allen has the most upside, but out of the 4 he needs to sit and learn the most.

I didn't see any mention of polls or websites on that show, nor have I seen a majority of pundits claiming he's going to the Browns No. 1 overall.

The discrepancy is when the guy isn't actually a very good prospect, especially in comparison to the other guys around him. We have a guy that literally the entire argument for him is that he has a big arm, who came out of nowhere, I'm asking where it is coming from that this guy actually has a chance of going #1 and nobody can give me anything other than he has a big arm.

When this whole process began so long ago it was Darnold and Rosen. That's very telling to me.

It is called following the process. The more his name is brought up the more research is done on him. It happens every year. Are you ever going to put out something that is unbiased?

How wise of the coaching staff to leak information about their preferences in a time where one of the GM's biggest focuses is on stopping the leaks. Hue keeps digging himself a hole, I believe.

Hue pushes other people into the holes he digs. But I think Dorsey would win that particular fight.

I still despise Hue enough that I'm rooting against the Browns until he's gone.

I wasn't using anything to my "advantage," and this is proof that pretty much my entire point went over your head. I came in here to post on Josh Allen because I was genuinely curious about what people see in what I judge to be a mediocre prospect- I was met with the same hostility the last time I asked that too. :chuckle: I've been told he is a winner, which he really isn't, I've been told his supporting cast sucks- okay. I've been told he has a huge arm, mmkay. Still not seeing it. I don't claim to be a scout or QB guru, I've watched plenty of the kid and don't really like much of what I see. Why should he be the #1 pick?

When somebody clamps down and makes the argument against Josh Allen, it's pretty difficult to dispute it'd be ridiculous to take him with the #1 pick when you have 3 other guys there with just as much upside and potential but far more polished at this point. That was why I brought up Klatt, because it was the first time I'd seen somebody in the media actually clamp down and argue against him. Which made me ask...where is all this smoke coming from with this guy going #1 and why do the mocks from guys I've never heard of have him going #1?

Then you came grumbling in telling me to watch Rich Eisen. Or something. LMFAO!

Try improving your comprehension skills. I certainly got more out of it than you are claiming. Not my fault you can't follow football terms.

So you don't even want Josh Allen but you're in here being a jackass to everybody over him?

You're the worst.

I want Allen to go to the best fit. The Browns are not the best fit for him. Pretty simple dude.
