LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we can get Kuzma, Ingram, ball for the both of them then hell yes. Otherwise we can get more for Love on our own
Love could go there for a year until Leonard could go then they can move Love

Bottom line is if George signs with OKC, I think the lakers and lebron are done for this year
Yeah LBJ going to LA without superstars isn’t happening. But PG13 staying in OKC doesn’t feel likely to me.

I hope I'm wrong, but its starting to sound like LeBron is gone. Too much smoke for there not to be fire.

And LeBron is the type of player to have his cake and eat it too. I'm sure that whatever team he agrees to go to, when they pitched him, he got an agreement from them to trade for him so he can get his Super Max on the way out.

That means that we would have to trade him and get something back. But something of value because Dan DOES NOT have to take a teams trash. No need to.

So when LeBron decides to let the Cavs FO know, it will pretty much be a complete package of something along the lines of "I'm leaving after signing the Super Max, and I'm going to the Lakers, and they are willing to offer you XYZ for my trade rights."

Exactly, which is why we shouldn't settle for anything less than a package that includes Ingram or Kuzma. Especially if we're going to be taking back Deng's corpse in any trade. If we take back Deng and Lonzo and give them LBJ that's 3 favors to none. The least we should demand if Brandon fucking Ingram. Come on people.

Not only will Bron prefer a trade for the super-max next season, but also to clear room for more of his guys that are joining him. They'll need to reserve their cap space to sign PG and CP3 who do not be mistaken, are coming with him!

I would be more shocked at PG13 staying in OKC then LeBron staying here. With the whole Melo contract, why would PG13 have any interest in staying there? He screws their flexibility this year, and best case scenario Carmelo gets bought out and it just leaves George and Westbrook there alone.

I don't think you understand how a Sign and Trade works. Like at all.

I meant opt-in and trade.

I believe he would have to opt-in so LA retains his bird-rights to sign him to the super max next season?

Maybe he is friends with the guys at OKC and enjoyed playing with them? There's more than JUST winning for these guys. You have to take that into account when trying to predict.

Although, I think all of the prediction games are dumb. Just wait and see.

I actually think if PG13 stays, one option is for the Cavs to get Melo. Clarkson and JR gives OKC more flexibility and strengthens their rotation at the same time. JRs expiring is better than Melo's expiring with a no trade clause.

If it keeps LeBron here, a Melo trade is worth it. It also doesn't use any big assets so it gives Koby the time to get another star in the season to actually help the team. If anything the rumor of it might push the Hornets to deal because I'm sure they want both JRs and Hills expirings to reset their salary cap for the future.

I also think if Melo doesn't work out here, LeBron will be able to convince him to waive his no trade so he can be moved as an expiring and bought out. It would allow Melo to pick his next team and he helps his friend out in the process.

Melo is absolutely not an option unless he comes with Paul George, and this isn't even a question.

So if Koby comes to LeBron and says we basically have no options to get us another star. The Hornets arent giving up Kemba at the moment. The only thing we have is Melo for Clarkson and JR. If LeBron says ok that's fine with me, you wouldn't pull the trigger on that? You let LeBron walk instead of giving up that package for a flyer on Melo?

Melo is hot garbage. I never want to see that chump in a Cavs uniform.
If he gets us Paul George he is, but there's literally no other scenario I'd want him. I can't believe that people actually advocated trading Love straight-up for this guy.

Trading Love for Melo was intriguing last year simply because many thought that playing on a contender would bring out Olympics Melo.

But, now that he's proven himself to be a petty bitch who won't do what's best for a team to win championships, there's no way in hell I'd trade Love for Melo.

How about Clarkson and JR straight up for Melo? As a last ditch option that keeps LeBron here. I'm not saying you take it over any other star and if they ask for asset you hang up on them.
