If he’s not playing 20+ mins per game this season it’s a failure. Same for Cedi

I think he will be damn close to that. He has good moves around the basket. Soft touch. Decent free throw shooter. My main concern is S & C. Dude got tired too quick

He was hitting 70% from 2. You don't need a ton of shots if you shoot a high percentage. 10 shots a game seems a little low for team that is going to need scoring.

Totally agree on conditioning. He seems to fall out of shape pretty fast. Looked good at the end of that 8 game stint, but was gassed again in limited minutes.

Now Zizic's a true big. A very good outing last night.

The positive is he got easy shots in the summer league. Game looked slower for him and he continued his trend of shooting at a high clip.
Only saw him on the left clock and middle. Obviously want to see him from other side.
Can he get that deep position against NBA teams? We’ll see. Very good showing.

He was posting on the highlights and really had no resistance. It’s one game in the summer league, but if he can get that sort of position against NBA centers without a switch, he can be a damn problem.

I think he has shown everywhere he has been that he can get deep positions in the post and bully guys. His technique, wide shoulders, low center of gravity and strong lower body allows him to do that. Even Jokic is surprisingly strong in the post and can get deep position and force his way against most starting centers. not to sound sound racist or anything lol, but White centers are built that way, compared to Black/African centers who has longer limbs, higher center of gravity and much skinnier legs.

Zizic will only continue to get stronger. His willingness and ability to finish on high efficiency and bang in the post is what are really counts. He plays big and is tough down there.

I also think that the more important thing is the ability to attack switches on very high efficiency. Teams wouldn't want to switch the Sexton and Cedi PnR with Ante because of his ability to score so efficiently in the post. That would open up the game for Sexton and Cedi as drivers, passers and shooters. I'm glad that he showed much better passing ability and instincts in the high posts and in the low post when doubled. He has improved as a decision maker and a passer which is great if we want to feature him a lot in the post as we should. That would make doubling him much less effective.

I don't see why he can't be one of the strongest centers in the league. He has a good base to build on and the mentality of a bully.

Shaq wants to know what you’ve been smoking.

His post moves and finishing ability is extremely advanced, he didnt shoot 73% last season because he only attempted dunks he showed signs in the post. Every time i see a cavs player in my time following the cavs attempt a post move (including Love and Shaq) i have cringed and thought it would miss, not this guy.. genuinely expect it to go in every time.

His arms are super long and he keeps the ball very high. Just a rock solid fundamental player and his footwork looks like a vet's.

He protected the rim last night and Cedi especially was looking for him.

I am not so sure this team will struggle to score as much as people think. Love shooting 3s with Z in the post and 2 guys attacking and another shooter at the 2? That's a pretty balanced attack.

Zizic just got better at everything he was good at already and seems totally good with gamspeed which was an issue for him last year
